BoBe-Patt Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Hmmm.... I would really like to see some detailed action figures of the macross characters. That would be nice. I'd buy them all! Quote
Mechamaniac Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Man, I wish for everything else in the macross world except for the VF-1 line!!!! Yeah, exactly. ANYTHING but a VF-1. Quote
GRAND CANNON Posted January 21, 2004 Author Posted January 21, 2004 (edited) Definitely SDF-1 in 1/60.The whole ship is probably too big, I will settle for just the bridge. It should be just slightly bigger than a VF-1. Actually wouldn't the bridge be about a size and a half bigger than a valk? The whole thing would probably be over 75 feet!! Set of replaceable 1/60 pilots for the old VF1's They could be in a multi-pack! They'd be small, but so what. By the way, how tall would they be in 1/60 scale? I think Britai is as tall as a valk battroid, but Kamujin is a bit shorter. I think Breetai has a good 15-20 feet on a VF-1. Kamujin is about the same height as a Valk...I think.. wats a DESTROID CONVERSION kit? It was a 1/100 release from Takatoku that you could switch the Tomahawk, Defender, and Phalanx on a set of legs. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/takatoku.htm. *1/60 masamune armor (not sure what they are actually called but seen them on tv series defending the SDF-1 deck in the last great assault with zentradi) ...global the pimp daddy. I believe you're referring to the infamous ORGUSS VALKYRIE. ...and the "pimp daddy" is classic. Don't forget folks......we're thinking NON-VALK. Anything out there from the other SDF series? scand Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 2. Destroid Multi-pack (leave out the Spartan, its ugly and weakly equipped compared to the others) That's the coolest destroid of them all! Quote
mechaninac Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 (edited) Since everyone else has covered all or most of the SDF Macross and DYRL items that we'd all like to see made in 1/60 scale, I'd like to suggest something that would really be "pie in the sky" stuff: How about Macross II mecha...ALL OF THEM. I'd love to see the VF-2SS and VF-2J (even the SNN Valkyrie would be cool), as well as the Destroids and enemy units. I know this is a NON-VALK wish-list, but M2 had some great designs that deserve some attention. breetai's pickle ship. Breetai's Flagship? ...in 1/60 scale? ...Perchance, do you own an entire city block? Edited January 21, 2004 by mechaninac Quote

Whereas I may not say the "coolest", IMHO, it doesn't deserve to be left out. Besides....what's a Phalanx or Defender gonna do when you get in nice and close? "Bite ya ahm off?" Quote
Aegis! Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 And people get suprised when I say they´re obsessed with the original series <_< why limit ourselves to SDF Macross or DYRL ?...? Well , just to follow the trend I´ll post mine: 1st- Glaug : although it would really be massive in 1/60 (just like the Q-rau) I think I would be willing to buy one of this babies. 2nd- Spartan : Man I love this Destroid , best ever destroid in the series. 3rd- Fan jet : what can I say , it has a nice design. Non-SDF/DYRL : - VF-5000 : God damn it Yamato , just do the damn valk and make me happy for once ! - VA-14 : You though the GBP Vf-11 and Vf-1 looked tough , this geezer is a baaaad boy ! - VF-19S : lovely valk , true successor to the YF-19 - VF-22 M&M : Classic , just Classic. - VF-11D Jamming Bird variant : Nice head design and heatshield - VF-11 FA variant : with all that weapons this valk screams to be made into a toy ! I'm thinking in Tactical terms. If they had given it a gun pod like the Valks.... I would completely change my view. IMO it was an excelent CD Mech (not likely to take out a whole block of Macross City in combat) vs lets say a Monster or a Phalax. As for close combat, all the Destroids were cannon fodder. The only mecha that actualy got a fighting chance in close combat were the battleroids. Now in close combat a Spartan vs an Unarmed Zentran(Zentreadi) warrior... ok fair enough... that would be an interestingly close match. Now if it did come as part of the "Multi-Pack" heck ya I would still buy it... its just not on my wish list. Quote

GRAND CANNON Posted January 22, 2004 Author Posted January 22, 2004 Yup, besides the trusty BILLY CLUB..... ARMAMENT Main: 2 x Bifors 12-rocket close-in self-guided rocket launcher Gun: 1 x Astra TZ-IV gun cluster (1 x laser gun, 1 x 32 mm MG, 1 x 180 mm grenade launcher, 1 x 12.7 mm MG, 1 x flamethrower) Anti-aircraft: 2 x Mauler RQV-10 anti-aircraft laser gun Grappling: 2 x Norman Banks CH2-TYPED claw hand Courtesy of Macross Compendium Quote
Southcross Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Main: 2 x Bifors 12-rocket close-in self-guided rocket launcherGun: 1 x Astra TZ-IV gun cluster (1 x laser gun, 1 x 32 mm MG, 1 x 180 mm grenade launcher, 1 x 12.7 mm MG, 1 x flamethrower) Anti-aircraft: 2 x Mauler RQV-10 anti-aircraft laser gun Grappling: 2 x Norman Banks CH2-TYPED claw hand Ok, got me on the dual Bifors chest rocket launchers... completely forgot about them. but as for the "Gun" armaments, all the specs I have seen on them have them rated as "inadequate" their relative damage compared to other mecha (friend or foe) is extremely lacking. 12.7mm or 50cal (.5 inches AP (steel core inside of a copper shell)) compared to the 50mm (2inch) Gat on the Valks firing depleated Uranium rounds... 32mm AA is another liability, 32mm (1.5 inch) AA has a very slow rate of fire and are a fragmentation type of ammunition... great for shooting down B-17s and kamazis in WWII... but little to no penetration. The Laser was rated as feable. Flame thrower was meant for "population control" as well as the grenade launcher (again no penetration power, come now its a grenade). Now the Mauler anti-aircraft laser, I gonna have to look that up cause I don't remember it. From a armor defeating purpsose the 50mm DU ammunition is nearing the same level of penetration that the American Abrams tank has fireing Discarding Sabot AP rounds (also 2" once the Sabot is discarded). The 50mm round will actually be more accure do to the spiral rifleing vs the DSAP rounds are finned kind of like a mini high-speed 'glider'. Lasers (depending on the type of energy used, but this is assuming a Light laser) against armor have a "time on target factor" The damage from a laser is generate by its heat on a single spot and not instantanious damage. The missles are generaly of a Thermo-nuclear design and are rated on a Kilo-ton basis for their damage (talkin' Uber damage to all but the heavily armored cruisers). The Grapplers... is he gonna go ride piggy-back on something? FYI I used to be a military nut.... explains why I'm in love with the MacII Monster and the Valks *will edit or add more if I can think of anything, I'm at work and should be doing something Quote

kanata67 Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 11. life size Minmei punching bag much better than the inflate-a-mate version seriously... 1/60 stuff that would be cool, in order glaug destroid conversion kit regult conversion kit sdf -yeah right heck... why settle for the small stuff if we're dreaming? Why bother with a 1/60 sdf-1 when you could have a 1/60 unicron??? Just think of the looks on the faces of your neighbors when it's delivered? HEck... UnIcRoN is probably the smallest scale toy evermade if you think about it. They would have to make it not suck though, else I'd send it back Quote
Blaine23 Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 My number 1 pick would be the Glaug, it's always been my favorite enemy mecha. Followed very closely would be Destroids. Lots and lots of destroids. Quote
Southcross Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 (edited) oh kewl.... much better than the inflate-a-mate version does it come with "Kung-Fu action grip?" UnIcRoN is probably the smallest scale toy evermade if you think about it. OMG I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT... LOL if Unicron was the same diameter as lets say the earth it would be approx 1/132,000,000 scale... LMAO Edited January 22, 2004 by Southcross Quote
Godzilla Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 One word: Destroids. Frankly Tomahawk first and then all the rest. Quote
GRAND CANNON Posted January 22, 2004 Author Posted January 22, 2004 I think the non-transformable fixed-wings would be easier to produce, true? You could have Misa's ES-11D CAT'S EYE with escorts on display in your cabinets! As I previously mentioned the GHOST too, they could come with display stands. And the CAT'S EYE could even include an asteroid to take out the pilot! (figure I should say it before someone else does.......sheesh) Quote

GRAND CANNON Posted January 22, 2004 Author Posted January 22, 2004 Too true. The Nousjadeul-Ger Kai via Macross Plus would also be a nice candidate, too. Yeah the Kai version was nice...... See a pic here at MAHQ. Quote

Gheeze it is a good thing we look elsewhere for mecha. But hope Yamato or any other Japanese company would do mac DESTROID mecha and Enemy mecha. me want 1/60 roy focker getting wasted figure, something to put in the cockpit:D as with the bridge, we can forget the SDF bridge and concetrate on its "finer" members me even the stand in bridge characters who operate the pin point barrier in 1/60 Quote
