So these are the ones I guess you can make using the included markings in the deculture pack. I’m pretty sure there would be some painting involved in some of these

This is pretty cool! I already have the individual boxings for most of these, but I'd get at lease 2 of this set to do the classic TV cannon fodder tan VF-1A, and one for the green and white (Alaska Base?) version.

I'll be interested to see if they do a similar multi-version release for the battroid kit.

I guess I didn't realize before, they still need to do a VF-1D fighter?

It wouldn’t be too difficult. Just need a movie hand set and pack in all the head and decal options

Yes, but the big question is, if they did a multi-version set for the battroid kit would they include the standing figures?

'Cus I with Kakizaki being a limited (Japan only) release I'm SOL for a complete set. And still really  miffed by that!😡

They did for some of the Dougram stuff, but I don’t know if they’re gonna be that nice to Macross fans

With all this options, they'll only need to do the VF-1J Max and Miria. In fact, we just need the white straps and the Miria's name for the cockpit.

In this site that sells overseas, it says "soon available" so may be you can buy one once released.

Stripes can be painted, but it would be nice to have the numbers for their respective units (the ones that go on the lower stabilizers) in addition to the pilot names for the cockpits. 202 for Max, 303 for Miria.

If the stripes don’t bug you, I’m pretty sure that these have white numbers on the decal sheet. Although, I have no doubt that these will be eventual releases in the near future

Since they didn't release before the big combo kit, I'm sort of expecting Max and Miria VF-1Js to be released with super packs, since that wasn't possible until recently with the release of the other Super/Strike kits.

I'm inclined to wait to wait for dedicated releases in case the box art is good.

I was planning on waiting as well, but I did buy a couple of the sets for other purposes

I’m a little surprised to see this multi-scheme kit, since they appeared to be putting out a series of specific paint scheme kits that are now superseded by this one. But I guess that’s what Hasegawa did when they released their combined VF-1A/J/S kit (although that was several years into their product line). Regardless, I ordered three from HLJ for the standard brown scheme and the Alaska Base too.

I’m also interested to see the weapon set. I’ve always thought the Hasegawa 1/72 missile boxes were too big and didn’t look right, so I’m curious how these will compare.

Hmmm...I might get that just for the Alaska Base version alone.  Always wanted to do one of those, but I'd like to do it in 1/48 as well with a Hasegawa kit.

I wish Plamax/Max Factory would finish out their 1/20 line and give us the Super Battroid!

I agree with all of you guys, haha:

- Sure that Plamax will make the VF-1D

- Sure that M&M VF-1J  fighters will come in the near future, and I'll wait that too. I expected the basic version first and several months after, the Super valk version.

- I also preordered 2 sets to make the Alaska base and cannon fodder version. I always found VF-1A Max & Kakizaki versions too boring, so I don't know if I make them some day.

I’ve always thought the missile boxes were super silly in atmosphere, but oddly that’s the only place I think they’re ever shown

Yeah, there’s only scene I remember is when they’re back on earth and getting attacked by Mirya in the movie. They didn’t use the boxes in the show and I don’t remember seeing them in space, but I’ll recheck soon

nah, they were also in loadouts in space with the nukes at the beginning and at the final scene. I think it’s the triple missiles that aren’t in the movie

I was getting confused with the triple missiles. I don’t think they showed up in the movie

They've covered most of the TV stuff. Primarily still need vf-1d fighter and max/miria vf-1js in fighter and battroid. And then armored vf-1.

But as they've already done movie stuff, I'm hoping they finish the movie stuff. I especially love any VF with a dish.

Come to think of it, they haven't done standard tan VF-1A battroid yet. But I expect it'll wind up in the inevitable all-in-one package like what they did for the fighter. Since the standard tan VF-1A didn't get a standalone fighter kit either.

And I guess we're supposed to be expecting Super/Strike battroids?

They’re definitely gonna do supers and strike. The just put those out in fighter. I think they’re gonna milk these molds for a while since all they gotta do is a movie type set of hands and some heads and the kits are already made for the add ons

To be clear, the Battroid design file pics that I linked to don’t include armoured elements, but do have A, D, S, J heads, SDFM & DRYL hands, strike & super parts already designed.
