Interesting. From the info cards, it sorta looks like the VF-1A Max and VF-1A Kakizaki battroids will be separate releases, unlike the fighter kits.

The battroids are more or less all TV versions so far - I wonder if they plan to do any in movie colors, since there are movie color fighters. Or if they are skipping those since the battroids really look more like TV version.

I guarantee that the movie stuff is coming. They’ve already done movie fighters and ones with movie strike and movie super packs coming, plus they teased square hands and movie style1A head. It may be a few months down the line, if not a full year though because they got a lot coming up soon. But they’re coming for sure.

Right, forgot about the movie head being shown. As long as they come with movie hands, I'll be happy.

I guess we may still see Max and Miria VF-1J battroids and fighters too.

I’m pretty sure they’re gonna get around to those as well, but they might be giving a bit of breathing room for hasegawa since they had a couple of this recently.

True.... but the Max battroid was movie type and the max/miria fighters were from quite a while back.

They just had a Miria tv type. It had the slightly updated parts

I know. I was just listing the ones that wouldn't directly compete if PLAMAX did a new max/miria TV kit. The Miria super is the exception.

Box art.

Looks like a photo that's been played with.

Was in Japan last week & saw an assembled PLAMAX VF-1J Battroid for the first time. Really like the lines, look, & feel.

Same here, can’t wait to get Kakizaki and a Mirya to get the whole team. And then there’s still the movie versions as well

The ole web exclusive. Weird.

Yeah, I’m a bit disappointed by that news. I hope that doesn’t happen often, especially with the movie versions

I'm not really a model builder, but the sculpt and articulation of the Max & Kakizaki TV VF-1A actually look really good. I might have to pick one up, just to mess around with, especially as they look like they won't need much if any paint, just some panel lining to look good.

Honestly, most of the builds I’ve seen of the 1J were done without getting rid of the seams. They put them in hard to spot ways and you kinda have to really look at pictures to notice what has or hasn’t been done. I highly recommend these kits for those that do put in the work and for those that just slap em together

So unfortunately Kakizaki is a web exclusive through the goodsmile online shop according to taghobby.

It looks like it’s regionally restricted too. It says “Japan Only” in the product info. When I’m not logged in, I can see the Kakizaki Battroid product listing, but as soon as I log in (with my U.S.-based account), it doesn’t show up in the product search (nor does the Max Battroid). I can’t add either of them to place a preorder.

PLAMAX PX13 1/72 VF-1A Battroid Valkyrie Hayao Kakizaki Unit

I may have to create another account and have it sent to family in Tokyo.

This is rather disappointing news. Being unfamiliar with Goodsmile regional web exclusive releases, is it worth hoping for a possible wider general release at a later date?

Looks like a tease for Kakizaki, but might just have number decals to repaint it

Preorder in. Thanks for the heads up! 👍

The Max is pretty easy to find at the usual hobby places, but not sure what to do about Kakizaki. It would kinda suck not to be able to complete the team. I know bbts sometimes puts their web items up for sale, but at a slightly higher price, but I’m not sure with this region block going on

I kinda doubt it. I don’t think any of their web releases have become general releases. I’m hoping I’m wrong though.

So it's a similar annoying situation as the max/miria 1/72 VF-1 variables from Bandai.

Yeah, unavailable at their U.S. version and doesn’t seem to ship outside Japan

i wish I knew. I haven’t really had an issue with their website before and even the majority of the Bandai stuff seems pretty easy to get these days. Maybe some of the sites the toy buyers are using might have them at a markup
