Same.. only question is how. HLJ changed their search so I can't sort by order anymore which is really annoying. I completely missed out on Mazinger Z because it was so hard to find the correct kits.

Try setting sort by "newest", that sorts the VF-1 issues from #100 to #1 in order.

Also sorts Mazinger in order, going down from #100.

Hi, where did this intel come from?  I am a subscriber, just got issue 93 (November), and did not get any info on this, which seems odd.

Am super excited for the FAST packs, while I appreciate the slick fighter version, the Super Valk is synonymous with Macross for me, so I will def get it

I figure when all said and done getting this entire set on the used market after its done will be about $2500-$3000 plus god knows what for shipping.

"Strike parts" are planned to be up to No. 150.

I through the VF-1 was 1-100, that means the Strike parts are another 50 volumes? I'm sure I've got that mis-translated.

That's correct.  The full line is:  "「ストライクパーツ」は１５０号までを予定しております。　　※実際の商品とは異なる場合があります。"

Or ""Strike parts" is scheduled to be up to No. 150. * (What's seen in the video) may differ from the actual product."

HLJ is now accepting POs on the said 50 volumes for the add-on VF-1 Strike Parts. First 3 volumes will be released in January 2022. Each volume cost Y1817. Total of Y90850.

I passed on this for the exact same reason. With the Strike parts included, I was willing to try to get the high price tag past my wife. Without them, no way. Trying to assemble the valk now, and then PO all of the Strike parts, would be far too expensive.

Well, just used the HLJ 10%off Black Friday code and pre-ordered 101-150.

I’m in for the duration, going to try not to think of how much I’ve spent on it every time I see the finished product.

We are starting to see complete 1-100 volumes up for sale now on the secondary market. I can't imagine how much shipping would be all at once.
Does anyone have a scale pic of all the items at once?

You are going to have a hard time to get the landing gear work properly. Hachette made the half part of the leg cover without the black stripe. On volume 98 you will get a new pair with some improvements, so the doors can open better. But I saw people still struggling for those doors to open properly. In my case, I made the corrections that I considered necessary on the unfinished covers. You will need some scrapping and sanding, so the door won’t touch the edge impeding a full opening.

Before assembling the leg completely, make sure those doors open and close well, test it with the cover in place.

One more problem with the model is that the feet are made of heavy die-cast. This, combined without a precise fit of the knee, causes the leg to be tilted down a bit when assembled. My solution was to add a spacer on each side so the leg can rest on those.

Interesting, I'm guessing the leg fix will be even more necessary with the FAST pack installed. Maybe I'll wait another year and have the full 150 here before I start...
