@sqidd here is a playlist of someone building the model.  He is not doing anything too fancy other than applying panel lining.  Others have gone on to completely rebuild the electronics, etc.  I think he is up to Volume 24 at this point.  This will give you a sense of the size of it as well.  I'd volunteer to build it for you, but I live in Canada...

Thank you.

I think I'm going to pass though. I've been emailing back and forth with them and this is their exact quote when asked about SSP's.....which are a deal breaker for me.

Q: Are these plans to release Super and Strike parts for this in the future?

A: Not so far and probably not in the future

You can still get the pilots for the model even if you are not subscribed to Hachette.

All you need to do is cut the number labels from volumes 1 to 30, stick them in the self-made envelope of volume 30 and send it to Hachette’s headquarters. Valid only in Japan though.

I suspect I'll end up buying off YJA or the like.

I still haven't shipped vol 29 and 30 yet anyway.

They were actually quite helpful through email. Maybe try that if you can't find one. I haven't seen a pilot come up yet and I looked for a bit.

Man, I wish they were doing SSP's. That would have been enough to push me over the edge. If they ever do one in Battroid with SSP's my wallet will break down into it's individual atoms as a byproduct of coming out of my pocket so fast!

Maybe you missed this above,;)

I missed that, yes.   Bummer as I was really looking forward to having those since it's right there on the first page that they would. :(

I know man, serious bummer.:sorry:

I wonder. Do you think this is something that could be done with a Tenso address?

I'd totally do that, ming ask them (though I still need to wait for 29-30 to ship).

They were going to ship everything directly to Tenso for me. I don't see why it would be an issue.

I'm a lucky guy, surprise early xmas present from my japanese father-in-law!  26 boxes of hatchette, with more on the way.  Shame I can't really dig into these for a few months due to space / moving...

Hard to create the tinted visor effect:lol:. I’m almost done with the cockpit. Will try to remove  the seam line on the canopy  glass and will make a stand. Instead of keeping it in a drawer waiting for the rest, I will display it properly.

Actually Albet Dessler in disguise :)

Lol, actually, I've always wanted to see Saeba Ryo in Skull leader's cockpit.  Most epic crossover, ever.  It would also render Roy Focker impossible to kill :)

Got the pilot and looked good, but can be improved. Now Roy Focker has a face!

Is it just me, or are the wrists connected really wierd?

Those wrists don't look right at all.  Are the forearms upside down somehow?

This is the expensive vol. 35

I noticed mine had paint that easily smudged so I’m guessing that drove demand for replacements as well. The white text on the black paint was especially problematic. Might be worth spraying some clear coat in limited areas.

no, but the shape seems all kinds of not right to me...

He noted that the big magnets on the side of the legs basically confirm that SSP will happen, but he wonder how to lower the legs for SSP.

Posted

Kits 70 and 71 show how the leg will move to attach the strike pieces. I really do hope they come out with a super/strike set that teased on the first issue but we’ll see if it actually happens.

Is it just an add on or will it be a whole new kit?  I won't even ask about the cost.

...I'm already like $1800 into the VF-1, may as well add the strike parts.
