Dynaman Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 Nog from Deep Space Nine. He was 3 years younger then me. Thanks for the excellent character and Rest in Peace. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/22/entertainment/aron-eisenberg-star-trek-actor-dies/index.html Quote
tekering Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 He was an integral part of DS9, up to and including this year's documentary What We Left Behind. Quote
Mazinger Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 (edited) In a cast as good as DS9's, he managed to do the impossible, stick out by delivering his lines on par with great's with years more acting experience than his own. Now give us a DS9 HD edition CBS/Paramount. Edited September 22, 2019 by Mazinger Quote
stormofdragons Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 That's sad to hear. He was one of my favorites on DS9. Quote
Dobber Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 I agree, Nog was a surprisingly great character. I wrote this on another forum. His character is one of the things that Trek is all about. He wanted more for himself and was from a species that is often not taken seriously. The captain wasn’t even sure about him either but eventually decided to sponsor him. He shows that we can be more than where we come from or what others may think of us just because of our looks or species ect. Then watching his recovery from the war with the loss of a limb. Sildani Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 I met him at a Star Trek convention, he signed my Decipher DS9 Nog card and shared an anecdote or two. At a panel I attended, talk was had about what a potential Captain Nog might be like and much laughter was had when he came up with “Mini-Picard!” Thoughts are with his family. Quote
TangledThorns Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 Nog was great character development. RIP Quote
TehPW Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 He is the first of the DS9 cast to pass through the worm hole, Quiaff? Quote
Mog Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Took what could have been a throwaway character, and made him into something memorable and awesome. Sucks that health issues finally took him, but it didn’t stop him from leaving his mark. Condolences to his family and friends. Quote
Graham Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Just now, Graham said: Damn, so young. That's my age. Really makes you think about your mortality and how many years you have left. Quote
derex3592 Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 True. RIP sir. Thanks for the great memories. Quote
