Bolt Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 A major force in comics is moving on.. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2019/jul/18/goodbye-alan-moore-the-king-of-comics-bows-out#comment-131168490 Quote
mikeszekely Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Hot take here, but I actually haven't cared for most of his works that I've read, including The Killing Joke, Watchmen, and V for Vendetta, and his run in WildC.A.T.s was so bad it basically ruined the series. So no biggie, I guess. Quote
kajnrig Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Hasn't he retired from the industry multiple times now? Maybe? Just imagining it? Quote
Bolt Posted July 18, 2019 Author Posted July 18, 2019 Chances are , weather you like him or not, he’s influenced something you like. So respect. Whats unique about this announcement is that we will finally get the final issue of The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen.. Quote

He's gone independent a bunch of times out of frustration with the mainstream publishers, but AFAIK this is his first actual retirement. His Rasputin-esque hair and beard always seemed like their own character to me, I wonder if they'll retire too or just jump to a new host. Quote

Mommar Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 If sales at DC maintain their trajectory the entire industry might be retiring from him instead. Quote
