I don't know which of your three is my favorite.

Thankfully, the judges won't have to decide; they're all my entries, after all!  :p

But my heart will always belong to the VF-11.

It's the first resin kit I ever bought, twenty-five years ago, in the hopes that I might someday have the stones to build it...

...and, having poured all my resources and experience into it, I think I've managed to do the design justice.  ^_^

I'll say!

Man, at 25 years in the making, this is even more impressive to have followed.  Really love your work, your attention to detail and all the time you put into journalling your build here with us Macross folks.

Inspires me to get back to a lot of my unfinished projects and keep up with the threads I started but never finished.

Seeing this build from start to finish is truly inspiring. 25yrs have come and gone and now not only do you get to relish in your work, but all the skills you have amassed over the years are clearly illustrated.

Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and patience to show us all how diligence and dedication pays off.

Looks delicious. Very nice finish on your resin kit. And nice photos too!

Love it!  Great execution.  I like many others here tip my hat to you on the completion of both kits, they are simply gorgeous.  Also thanks for taking the time to document and photograph much of the builds as you went along. Invaluable to people who have less experience with resin kits. Bravo!

So, I had one more optional detail to photograph before the final contest deadline:

See the little hole I drilled below the muzzle of the gunpod?

That's for attaching the bayonet.

I mean, what feature of the VF-11 is more iconic, right?

I've also taken the time to complete the beautiful Hasegawa fighter kit:

I coordinated the build with the battroid resin kit, using the same paints and decals to match the battroid as closely as possible...

...so of course, I installed matching LEDs into the FAST pack boosters.

The kit falls outside the scope of this contest, of course, but I always intended to build the two VF-11s together...

...and I keep them on display together because I think they complement each other extremely well.  ^_^

A couple beauties right there. Nice work. Really enjoyed your build.

I noticed you have a gravely finish to the paint on the cockpit close up, and believe me, I suffer from the same problem. I think we need to airbrush closer or wetter, so the paint doesn't have time to dry on delivery. But from eye level I know it looks great... No one is going to hold a magnifying glass to it.
