JetJockey Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 I think there are a few Gunbuster fans here. I never thought I would see this original for sale. It just ended yesterday. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n338940405 I attempted to win but it went too high for something that I haven't seen in person. I'm actually surprised it didn't go higher. But it looks like the real deal. Whoever won it could have a nice setup with the Gunbuster chogokin and that old Kotobukiya Noriko figure. Too bad they still haven't released this kit as a painted figure. https://myfigurecollection.net/item/75945 Quote
hachi Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Looks great, though I am skeptical if the paper is archival. I wonder what marker was used. I could try making my own since I cannot afford the real thing haha Quote

That's someone else's problem. Quote

Museums have 1000+ year old paper. I think paper from the 80s isn't that big a deal. I have comics from the 60s that are fine. Quote
hachi Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Let me hijack this thread...has anybody built this? https://www.hlj.com/1-1000-scale-aim-for-the-top-gunbuster-aos05688 I don't know how big it is, but is very tempting for the price. I have no experience with Aoshima, though it says no glue and paint needed. Quote
hachi Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 nvm found a picture review:https://suprememecha.blogspot.com/2019/12/review-acks-11000-gunbuster.html Needs a top coat at least, would look better painted. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Hmm. That looks nice. I’ve already got the SoC Gunbusters so I’m gonna pass. Quote
