Dynaman Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Am I the only one that thought that Boba Fett animated short was rubbish. I'd almost rather have a show about Bae Arthur's cantina. (almost...) Quote
Mog Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Ice Cube, Jr. is part of the cast?! I’m really hoping we see some flashbacks or part of the story takes place during the Clone Wars proper. https://www.starwars.com/news/obi-wan-kenobi-series-cast Quote
azrael Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 Since Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse are coming back, I guess we'll see Uncle Owen objecting to Obi-wan trying to give papa's lightsaber to Luke to avoid going on "some damn fool idealistic crusade". Probably just a wild dream, but Indira Varma has the shape of Satine's face in that cover shot. Quote
TangledThorns Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 I only have two questions about the Obi Wan series. 1. Will we see Ahsoka Tano? 2. Who gets fired first because of their tweets? Quote
sh9000 Posted March 30, 2021 Author Posted March 30, 2021 (edited) Looking forward to checking out the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Edited March 30, 2021 by sh9000 Quote

I could see Varma as a Mandalorian, just not that particular Mando. I doubt we’ll see Ahsoka, but you never know. I’m just curious if we’ll see Hett pop up. Allows you to build a story that crosses both the Clone War and post-ROTS periods. And more importantly, keeps Obi on Tatooine, guarding the sun-staring farmboy. Quote

Mog Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 Rewatched a little of the Clone Wars microseries. Some bits are ridiculously over the top. But damn did they make Grievous a vicious, damn-near unstoppable buzzsaw! Quote

Mog Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 The Volume really does check off a lot of boxes in terms of saving production costs (don’t have to wait for perfect lighting, can change up the set quickly) and in terms of really immersing the actors into the set. Considering all the green screen the prequel actors were forced to play against, the Volume is probably a massive help to get actors into character. Quote

Mog Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 The hair in that photoshop reminds of this: Chappelle’s Show still giving back after all these years! Quote

Dynaman Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 It isn't the cut it is the "just for men" shading of the facial hair not matching the wig. Quote
TangledThorns Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Introducing my six year old daughter to Star Wars this week. Finished A New Hope and started Empire Strikes Back last night. She got really upset seeing the wampa's arm cut off by Luke Skywalker and felt really bad for it Which is a way more graphic scene than the original that I saw when I was her age. Quote
Mog Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Machete Order: * ANH; * ESB; * AOTC; * ROTS; and then * ROTJ. Best way to introduce Star Wars. Quote
ErikElvis Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 If it wasn’t for Obi wan coming I’d prob cancel Disney plus. Ewan mcgregor was great in the prequels. Hope they don’t screw this up Quote
