That's cool. But this article goes way out on a limb with speculation and breaks off pretty quickly. Who knows what cameos we'll get , but Darth Vader is a big no. The last place in the galaxy Anakin wants to go to is Tatooine. And he's busy , during this time, chasing down straggler Jedi who survived or weren't near clones for order 66. And he's hunting down their sympathizers. Vaders also busy consolidating the Empire. And if he ever did go to Tatooine, how could he not sense his former master and his son? Hiding from the force isn't canon, as far as i know. Remember Yoda on Degobah  was basically drowned out by the dark force energy of that planet . A needle in a haystack. Obi Wan and Luke would've been a lighthouse. Darth Maul is another story.. And i think it would be cool to have a Quai Gon Jin force ghost reminding Obi Wan to be mindful of the living force..

Not sure I want to see young Luke.   Can you imagine watching him ogling over girls, finding porn videos and such... but eventually settling into frenching his own sister, not sure that's a good fit for Disney, or perhaps considering all the hidden gems in old Disney animation, it's the best fit of all.

I think they're better off with the Cassian series that shows him as an amoral terrorist, because remember, one man's terrorist is another man's liberator, ok, toss in a little bit of struggle with having to blow up innocent woman and children with the Stormtroopers, cause he is the protagonist.  After all, what distinguishes George Washington from a guy like Bin Laden or the Iranian general that just got blown up, the only difference is history and media.  You can easily imagine if GW was running around today trying to free the colonies from the Empire, he'd be vilified as a terrorist, killing law abiding citizens and soldiers trying to help a civilian population, the only difference would be which side you happen to be on.

Wasn’t young Luke just a farmer that was so bored of his life that he ran away with an old man and a fugitive. Unless they totally try to completely change his character, I can’t see it being an interesting back story. I just think that the franchise is better done with an original character rather than trying to give us a crappy back story that will never make anyone satisfied.

I'm sure that's exactly how the English media of the time portrayed him.

As far as Cassian, it should be interesting to see how he meets up with his sidekick droid and also , just how dirty his hands get. Yes, I'm sure Disney will keep it tame.

If they salt and pepper a little young Luke here and there into the series, it doesn't have to be exciting to give the overall story of Obi Wan more depth and meaning. They just can't fall into the trap of over doing it.

I'm wondering when we get to see Tobias Beckett kill Aurra Sing. "More like pushed her, I'm pretty sure it was the fall that killed her.." it could be in the Obi Wan series..

He was talking directly with his Daughter and had no clue...

Very true on that point. Though i assume any force presence she may have emanated wasn't really present until later in life. In fact Luke seemed pretty dead to it until Obi Wan picked him up.

They need to figure out what "baby" alien character would be a hit with the fans before they green light it....

Baby Chewie...

After a wild week of revelry on Endor, CHEWBACCA seeks the help of JEDI MASTER OBI-WAN KENOBI.  Watch as these two experience hijinx, hilarity, and adventure, as they try to scrounge up enough credits for Chewie’s Ewokian child support!

:rolleyes::D

Lando was a really bad influence on Chewbacca....

Sorry Bolt, but we can’t have baby Maul since his junk fell down a shaft without him back in the prequel trilogy.

He is dark side - clones are Aok

Oh boy - I just have to go putting two and two together due to a bad joke.  Everyone knows that Cloning is widespread (if suppressed).  Maul should have gone to the underground clone center to have a clone done and then chop off the parts he needed.  Star Wars the Clonus Horror anyone?

^^So, one of Chewie and Obi’s odd jobs can be getting clone tech unwittingly for Mob Boss Maul . . . and causing some “small” problems.

See!  This junk writes itself!

On another topic, poor Cassian:  he’s such a good spy that no one gives a crap about him (or his show) and he goes completely unnoticed.

Chewie could even help with the amputations.

Cassian who?

The Rebel spy dude from Rogue One.

Personally, I’d prefer a series that brings K-2SO, Chopper, R2, and HK-47 together for a Dirty Dozen type mission.

The Stormtrooper body count and sarcasm would be immeasurable.

Due to the success of The Mandalorian, they're gonna have to be careful to keep these other shows fresh and original. Too similar and people are gonna tune out.

THAT would be awesome!

Assassins and Protocols

R2 leads the mission.

K-2SO is the pilot and the muscle.

Chop’s the hacker and utility player/jack-of-all-trades.

And HK poses as the protocol droid, who also “dabbles” in killing meatbags quite efficiently.

If we need a straight-man, we can toss in AP-5 for his snarky reactions to everything the other 4 are doing/saying.

Threepio stays behind, because one of the other droids would probably shoot him or space him out the nearest airlock.
