Mommar Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 In no way can I conceive of this movie being any good but I have such an affection for the first one I can't help but hope. Quote
jammaker Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 I can't wait. It'll be good I'm sure as the original writers are working on it. Sad about Rufus. He passed away a few years ago in 2008. Quote

Lolicon Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure was a favorite movie of mine growing up (along with the original Robocop, so, uh, yeah) but the sequel was pretty heinous. Hope it turns out better than the Robocop reboot. Quote
sh9000 Posted July 9, 2019 Author Posted July 9, 2019 This is not a reboot so for that line of thinking it would have to be better than Robocop 3. Quote
Lolicon Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 I'm going to set the bar a little higher than the dumpster fire that is Robocop 3. Quote
no3Ljm Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Hold on. I didn’t quite understand. What’s the analogy between Bill & Ted and Robocop? Quote

The music of Wyld Stallyns' first observed impact on the course of history was when we didn't move forward into the grim dystopian future of Robocop. That's the connection. Robocop's a "bad end" alternate future where they failed their history class. Quote

Dynaman Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 B&T starts out fun, and ends with them playing Twister with Death - which should be fun but really wasn't. Really too bad the second movie didn't quite work since it had a lot of interesting ideas. Quote
Lolicon Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 "Bogus Journey" was an appropriate title for that movie. Quote
TangledThorns Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 (edited) Bogus Journey was just like the Ghostbusters sequel. Not terrible movies but both looked like Hollywood cash grabs that made them less funny. Edited July 11, 2019 by TangledThorns Quote
sh9000 Posted July 11, 2019 Author Posted July 11, 2019 This pic with Christopher Lloyd at a convention is cool. Quote
TangledThorns Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 The first movie is on Amazon Prime. Pure 1980s gold! Quote

My brother and I used to watch it religiously nightly. Sometimes two or three times in a row. Then we’d get all excited at the end credits music and beat the crap out of each other with NERF fencing swords. Quote
