The movements reminded me a lot of those really old Superman cartoons, but with an updated look

The first episode is OK I guess. Though I think I was expecting more after watching The Bad Batch, that is Disney+'s best new animated series right now IMHO.

Yeah, me too.  It feels a bit more serious, like it was geared to an older audience rather than the exaggerated proportions of say...the Incredibles (which I like for what it is).

On the whole, it was good. Though I noticed one big difference between the What If episode and the Captain America movie:

In the movie Rogers was not above shooting people, while in the episode Peggy didn't use any guns (though she did kill plenty of people with explosions/blunt trauma).

Peggy did put a cap in the saboteur that shot Steve at the start of the super-soldier experiment, and they had her firing a gun with the Howling Commandos (in an homage to that same scene from the movie).

Ah, missed the bit with the commandos.

Mainly it struck me as weird that after shooting the saboteur at the beginning, she wouldn't even carry a firearm, and just punched everyone or threw the shield (or a handy vehicle) at them instead.

Breaking the propellers off an airplane is usually good enough. Knocking out the pilot afterwards so he can ride it to his death is just plain murder or plane murder depending on how you want to word it

I wonder what would become of "Iron Man" in that timeline......I hope we get to see some cameos from the series in the next Dr. Strange movie!

It makes you wonder though, how much of the series would be periodic continuities of prior episodes.  I think at least one or two issues of What If was a continuity of prior issues.

Watched the latest WHAT IF...? and it was OK, I guess.

I think my major gripe with the series is that its too safe and not interesting enough so I lose my attention watching it quick. That being said, The Bad Batch is a far better animated series to watch on Disney+ right now.

Ya gotta admit:  it’s efficient! 🤣

Surprisingly enjoyed the ep.  Didn’t think it would make much sense, but they gave a good enough premise for why T’Challa instead of Quill.

Definitely was a fun take on T’Challa and gave Boseman a chance to give the character a little more humor.

I actually really liked this one. It was a fun episode and I liked that this version of Star Lord was just really good at negotiating

I have a feeling Ego would be way more successful in that timeline than the one we initially knew about....I think a guy mopping floors at a fast food place would be easier to corrupt....

Really enjoying What if. Well done.

I loved the comics, back in the day. "What if Loki had the hammer of Thor" and "What if Wolverine killed the Hulk" etc, etc.  Good times.

"What if the Avengers lost Operation Galactic Storm?", "What if Captain Marvel had not died?" and "What if the Avengers had fought the Kree Skrull War without Rick Jones" were my favouries.

It wouldnt be the same unless they revert to the classic Kree costumes.

That was probably the most depressing episode of a cartoon I’ve seen in a while, but at least it shows the Loki variant that was probably the one that got his hand chomped
