Andre Dutra Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Hello guys, I was off from the forum (building other stuffs). Now I`m near finishing an diorama of a Zetradi commander POD that have been destroyed and abandoned on earth on a cost of Japan. There are two things missing to finish. Spray some yellow spots randomly to sign for paint sun burn and add some musgos. Battle damage to the head with lots of spilled oil. Damages made with a hot soldering iron and oil leakage with painel line. Battle damage to the legs made in the same way, but more aggressive. Full view of the model with the corrosion on the legs been more aggressive. Used and ordinary ponder mixed with water. Generated it by liming a kit painting stick. And here is the model in the near finished stage. Used AK water gel. I believe it will be finished next week. What you guys think about it? Regards Quote
ChristopherB Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Really interesting idea, I like the battle damage and realism. The water is a bit too blue for my tastes and contrasts too strongly with the dark colors of the Glaug. Keep us updated please! Quote
tekering Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 I like the damage. I don't like the water. Quote
Andre Dutra Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 Thank you guys!! This is my first ever attempt to create water effect. maybe I should’ve added more green and create a pattern of waves. I used the AK Atlantic water gel, which is very blue. Quote
Andre Dutra Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 Thank you guys!! This is the first time ever that I risk to do water effects. Maybe I should have added more green and made a sort of pattern of waves. Quote
tekering Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 I used the AK Atlantic water gel, which is very blue. Yeah, I think that's the problem. Realistic water effects require clear resin. Quote
Bolt Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 (edited) Yeah, I think that's the problem. Realistic water effects require clear resin. Doing water is very difficult. But doesn’t necessarily require only clear . Especially for the surface. Clear for underwater ! keep up the good work AD! Edited March 10, 2019 by Bolt Quote
