jenius Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 I'm sure they're just getting old stock from some store for next to nothing, it happened with bbts and Yamato gnu dou toys recently. Quote
Shizuka the Cat Posted March 2, 2019 Author Posted March 2, 2019 I would love it if this was a new release.... with maybe some improvements in the design. I can only hope! At any rate, I am pre-ordering these 2... because I am an addict. *sigh* Quote
sh9000 Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Cool. Ordered a VF-25S since I needed one for Fighter mode. Quote
Alex GS Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 (edited) Are this like the Hi Metal R (size)?, parts forming?, are this good quality ?, really grabs my attention how cheap they are, I think I saw this figures from lots of years ago but never put too much attention to these ones. Update: Ok I just saw a video of it and I will pass, already have some expenses this month with the x2 buy of HMR VF 4g Edited March 2, 2019 by Alex GS Quote
sumyumgoy Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Looks to be out of stock now...might be a good thing for me lol Quote
jenius Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 These are pretty high on my worst toys list... You didn't miss much. Quote
spacemanoeuvres Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Yeah these are pretty bad. If I recall correctly some parts are warped out of the box. The gun on mine looked like a banana Quote
Lolicon Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 They're exactly like HMR, except instead of a transformation, you literally take it apart and reassemble it with a bunch of a different parts for each mode. Also, the parts are all warped like Bandai left them out in the sun for too long. Also, the looks and proportions in all three modes suck, despite being a partsformer. Even battroid mode retains the stupid too-high leg positioning, again despite being a partsformer. Also the parts don't fit right and fall apart if you look at them too hard. So yeah, exactly like HMR except for the above reasons, and just overall sucking. I can only imagine how many different people had to approve this POS before it went to market. Quote

Update: Ok I just saw a video of it and I will pass, already have some expenses this month with the x2 buy of HMR VF 4g Other than being around the size of an HMR, they are not like them. These have parts specifically for each mode so that transformation is minimal. If they work out for the people that own them, then that’s all that matters. Quote
no3Ljm Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Is it only at AmiAmi? System glitch perhaps? There were no official announcements for reissue coming from Bandai, right? Quote
Convectuoso Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 (edited) I may get the blue one. I already have all the others, but chose to have the Robot Spirits version for Michael's. But I need one for fighter mode. Edited March 2, 2019 by Convectuoso Quote
Shizuka the Cat Posted March 2, 2019 Author Posted March 2, 2019 Pre-order for both toys is now closed at AmiAmi. Quote
easnoddy Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 I don't hate the VF100's. As long as they're inexpensive they're ok toys. All 3 modes look good. Be prepared to spend about 15 minutes partsforming between modes though. Checkout the ziploc bag of parts... In battroid with Revoltech VF-1. Quote
F360 Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 the JAN code:4543112548191 is the same as the old toy from 2009. for reference: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10083941 Quote
sh9000 Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 Nice set @easnoddy. If Amiami were to find some of the Armored sets I wouldn’t mind getting them and have them fly with a HMR Strike VF-1S. Quote

CF18 Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 Yes Bandai reissued a bunch of older stuff for Feb and March for what ever reason. Browse around AmiAmi and you can see a bunch of Robot Spirits and a few Super Robot Chogokin (Aquarian EVOL and Giant Robo) at half price, even in pre-order status. Quote
Duymon Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 These are ok if you only intend to keep them in one mode and you want something in 1:100. Otherwise avoid like the plague. Quote
easnoddy Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 I like the Robot Spirits Macross, VF100's, Revoltechs and even GN-U Dou's, though my collections of each are far from complete. Quote
Shizuka the Cat Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 The VF-25S shipped. Mine as well... though I chose the SAL Small Packet registered shipping option.... so it should arrive sometime before Christmas. Quote
easnoddy Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I've got my VF100's VF-25g on my desk right now. I like it better than the DX v1 VF-25g I had. Quote
