You don’t want to give Arcadia any ideas to re-release their Premium Finish Valks and apply the rainbow tint treatment on the canopies and start calling it their Ultimate Finish. Quote

Been wanting a VE-1 for some time, just for its uniqueness, and now I'll have one for display and a spare. I think these will probably be the last VF-1 toys I buy. I'm hoping Bandai will stretch into new territory and make some of the valks that have never had toys before, and a YF-21 to go with their 19. Quote

Expand I'm not expecting Ronin 'til tomorrow, but Amazon delivered my VE-1 today: So let's play "Yamato vs. Arcadia!" At first glance, they're nigh-identical... The only significant difference is the rainbow canopy on the Yamato, and the painted eye on the Arcadia boosters. By Yamato standards, their VE-1 was already "premium finish," with tampographed warnings, numbers, and insignia other releases didn't get... Arcadia's added even more, however... and even a couple new painted details. Does each wing need TWELVE identical "no step" warnings? Maybe not, but it looks much better than none at all. Note the Yamato already had UN Spacy markings on the FAST packs... ...but again, Arcadia included more tampo and additional paint app's. The only significant difference in color is the pilot uniforms... ...and surprisingly enough, a minor difference in the cockpit graphics. Perhaps most importantly of all, Arcadia included bonus parts the original Yamato release never came with. Quote

I think the most major difference is the screw covers they put in the legs now... which are honestly annoying because access to that screw is crucial if you have a landing gear door pop out. Other than that it's all about the tiny painted details. Quote
