bob joe mac Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 i thinking of getting this game is it any good like the macross games and yes i have + and vfx and ps2 one. or is it just a good collectors item since its only 20 bucks .... which VFX do you have and what which are you thinking about buying? If its VFX1 well don't expect anything good but hey its only $20 so go for it. Now if its VFX-2 definitly go for it while VFX-2 has its problems its still a pretty cool game. Quote
13strikevalkyrie13 Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 i never played either but from what it seems (if this is the game you want) vfx2 is the way to go.... uh edit your post so people dont get confused Quote
Macrosso Posted January 17, 2004 Author Posted January 17, 2004 sorry i meant part one and have the other ps games and ps2 Quote
13strikevalkyrie13 Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 (edited) well if u can get it cheap i guess go for it but i mean if you have vfx2 and plus then i would save my money, not unless your a collector... i would try to get macross dyrl for ps that looks awesome.... Jasonlord Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 This may be off topic but, does anyone know how to get out of missile view and into forward on VF-2? Quote
BLESS Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 iirc i don't think you can, because the camera is auto-focused in VFX-2. There are only two modes, Target which keeps your view on currently targeted enemy and Missile which keeps in view incoming missles. To switch between these two modes use the circle button. But i think closest you can get to a "forward" view is using the target mode Quote
hellohikaru Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Actually VFX-2 does have a forward view but you need to enable it. Go to the screen where you can customise the controls and set the forward view to ENABLE. Quote
BLESS Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 omg that wuld have saved me a lot of trouble, headbanging and swearing when i went thrgh the game Okay is there a "select next target' button hidden somewhere? Quote
Jasonlord Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Actually VFX-2 does have a forward view but you need to enable it. Go to the screen where you can customise the controls and set the forward view to ENABLE. actually, I tried that...it just goes back to missile/target view...Unless I'm doing something wrong... BTW, are there any cheats? Quote
BLESS Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 You have to enable it then start a new game...forward view will be the third option when you cycle through the views Cheats can be found here Quote
Renato Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Yes, yes, I hear that all the time, too. Select ENABLE from the options screen, then start a new game, and you should be able to choose FORWARD view. I've had the game for ages and I've tried that a million times. It has never worked. I have NEVER been able to activate the FORWARD view on my game, I dunno if I just have a messed up CD. I doubt it, though... By the way, I do own the actual CD, not a copy, and I have used it on both actual Japanese Playstations and on Emulators. Quote
hellohikaru Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 emmm..strange i never had that problem....have you made sure you didn't accidentally map 2 functions under the same button ? Quote
Graham Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 I use forward view all the time in VF-X2. It's the only way to play! I've never had a problem with it on both my original disk or my bootleg copy. Graham Quote
