optimuspint Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Hey has anyone had and luck/bad luck ordering directly from mandrake? There are a few used valks Im looking at but have never used them before. Quote
Sanity is Optional Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 I've spent thousands with them, no issues ever. Everything packaged well. Quote
505thAirborne Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 I've purchased a dozen or so items from Mandarake. Good sellers and at least for me always good packing & fast delivery! Quote
Shizuka the Cat Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 I have ordered from Mandarake several times. No problems whatsoever. Quote
Convectuoso Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 I've bought thousands of times from them. The experience has always been great Quote
fenrir72 Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 (edited) No issues yet( over a 100+ orders btw). Edited December 17, 2018 by fenrir72 Quote
505thAirborne Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Speaking of Mandarake, I just ordered a book from them. Quote
VF-Zer0S Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Great place that I wish I had discovered years ago. No issues ever. Quote
Lolicon Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 I've ordered more stuff from Mandarake than any other shop in Japan. Love visiting their stores in person too. They're a toy-loving nerd's heaven. Quote
Bishop Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Mandarake is awesome! My collection grew significantly since I know them. My only comment is that they ship sal parcel or ems now for dx chogokin. I bought several dx chogokin before using sal small packet and the shipping price was much more reasonable. Quote

yman1437 Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 (edited) Bought from them a few times, generally satisfied. But one time the packaging was poor, box of the item was destroyed. They pretty much said meh, not our fault, you're ool.... Edited December 18, 2018 by yman1437 Quote
Scyla Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Nothing but excellent buying experiences with Mandarake. Would buy again. Depending on where you live I wouldn't choose DHL Express shipping since in my country they will on their own collect the sales tax and custom fees. The also overestimate the value of the items in the package as well as adding a hefty handling fee. This is not an issue with Mandarake but it is the only time this happened to me when ordering from them (the other places I usually order form only offer EMS shipping). I'm not against paying my taxes but what DHL does is highway robbery. Quote

I purchased an artbook and the customs ( using the promo of DHL) charged me the same cost for taxes as the product costing me like buying another artbook when it was delivered to my home. Quote
505thAirborne Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Just arrived from Mandarake Via DHL, the attention to detail in making sure my book arrived safely was top notch! Quote

Oh man Project A-ko! That's pretty old school right there. Been to almost every Mandarake store in Japan during my travels. Wish we had something like it in the States. Quote
505thAirborne Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 If we had stores like Mandarake in the states I'd be so happy. Ordering online is fun but nothing beats the toy store experience. The down side, I'd be super broke and my wallet would kill me! Quote

I was thinking about breaking out my Project A-Ko DVDs recently. Haven’t watched those in a while. Quote

I’ve ordered from Mandarake in the past and done ems before but I was planning to order and ship with Dhl this next time around as lately they’ve been so much better and gotten faster as well. I live in the us and even in the past month had no issues shipping dhl from amiami. Quote
