KingNor Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 just intrested in what you guys think. though i preffer just simple valks with no stuff on them, i have to admit the GBP(?) armor does look pretty damn cool. lets assume that the 1/48 WILL NOT get armor. would you rather get a 1/60 with armor or a 1/48 with no armor (assume they'd be about the same price) Quote
Draykov Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 (edited) Personally, if I knew there were not going to be 1/48 GBP armor, I'd want to get both the 1/60 with armor and 1/48 without. Hell, I think there will be and I still pre-ordered a 1/60 set of armor only. However, if I was only left with the option of a 1/60 armored Valk, and a full size, naked 1/48...I'd go 1/48 all the way. Though I like the 1/60, the 1/48 is just a much better toy in my opinion. ychanus Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 You know what, eventually, Yamato "will" run out of idea on what to do next and they will do it. Especially we all know that 1/60 GBP will sell well. It will be a piece of cake project as GBP does not required transformation, just enlarge the 1/60 mold and make them fit a 1/48. IMHO, we will definitely see GBP on 1/48.. It is just a matter of time.. as for the thread question, I'll take the 1/48 as it will have better "play" value. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 If I had to choose between those two I´d get the 1/60 Armored valk That´s just me! Quote

Uxi Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 I've always been more partial the 1/60 line. Can put a 1/60 squadron in the place where a mere 1/48 team is gonna go. And cost is even more imabalanced. Can get 2 Super Valkryies in 1/60 for the price of a single 1/48 Super Valk. 1/48's are great for trophy pieces but too big and expensive to be as good of an "army builder." I still wish Yamato would do the VF-1 in 1/72 so it could be in scale with my M+ and VF-X2 valks. Quote
KingNor Posted January 17, 2004 Author Posted January 17, 2004 woah...hey where's the 1/55? word. Vic. hey guys, i knew if i put the 1/55 up there, it would ruin the poll because no one would vote for the other two! Quote

NoSuchFile Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 I'd go with the GPB, a 1/48 is a really nice machine but a fully armored 1/60 is better, even if the 1/60 isn't near the quality of the 1/48, a naked 1/48 makes for a less impressive piece than a fully armored VF-1 even if it's smaller, well that's what I think Quote

Could you be just a touch less subtle? I don't quite get what you're saying Seriously, though, although I like the 1/60, they have some serious issues (such as, a damn difficult GERWALK mode), and so I'd just go for the 1/48 and hope that they do a GPB for that one (they will, most likely). Blaine23 Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 I'm sorry but I'd put 1 1/48 against just about anything else. It's just the best design for a valk, period. Of course, you'd be an idiot not to buy the kickass FAST/Strike armor for it. The 1/60 is a good toy, with or without armors. But the 1/48 is a great toy. Quote
hevangel2 Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 If you havn't got any 1/48 yet, don't start on this line. Yamato will make you go bankrupt. It definitely worth to complete your 1/60 line with the GPB. Quote

Dont' forget about the backpack hinge. 1/48 is undoubtedly superior in almost every category except one. Endurance. You'd have to try to break a 1/60s backpack off. It's not quite so hard with a 1/48s... Quote
Sebastian Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 The 1/48 is a much better everything than the 1/60. I can inmagine how beautifull a 1/48 will look wearing a GBP Armor. Quote
myk Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 The only other thing in life that is more beautiful than a naked Valkyrie in fighter mode is a naked woman in seduction mode, perhaps in the form of Kelly Brook or Nikki Cox, perhaps. The GBP thing is kinda' cool but I just don't get it-it's just a big bulky robot with no dynamic flight capabilities... Quote

Hey, like the Chinese Qi Pao that are strategically tightened at 24 places, the armors futher accentuate the sexiness of the valkyrie's physique. Stark nudity (although nice) is getting overated imo. It's like getting your bananas fully-peeled and served you, when the act of peeling itself IS part of the fun before putting the fruit in your mouth. Quote

Anubis Posted January 19, 2004 Posted January 19, 2004 I may be a minority on this, but I like my 1/48 fighter mode best with no armor. Fast Packs for battroid, I like how they look with the FP armor in that mode the best. GBP I only really want on the 1/60 Hikaru 1J. I always preferred Fast Packs over GBP, but I definately want one set at least. Quote
JValk Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 I'm curiously aroused by all this well that's just an open invitation to post al0234's fanwork here - so appropo. Quote
