no3Ljm Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019. jvmacross Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 So do we get to see Star Wars and Marvel toys in these movies now? Quote
Andre Dutra Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 I don’t see a problem there. There are tons of Star Wars toys. Quote
Dynaman Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 Even if the movie turns out to be the first Toy Story dud I will always have that teaser trailer. Quote
Dobber Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 I must be the only person in America that thinks the Toy Story series is overrated. I really didn’t get all the hoopla over TS3. Chris Quote

Convectuoso Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Has any 4th movie of a franchise ever been any good? Quote

tekering Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers was widely regarded as the best of the Halloween sequels... which doesn't actually suggest it's any good, just less excretable than the others. Of course, conventional wisdom has now established the latest Halloween as the best of the sequels, which begs the question: Has any ELEVENTH movie of a franchise ever been any good? Quote

Dynaman Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 The two new characters allow them to add the "edgier" comedy that is required today. Smart move since having the established characters do so would have been a disaster. I still remember the first one like it was yesterday - hard to believe it has been over 20 years now. Quote

Hmmm... if we include the two Ewoks movies and The Clone Wars film, wouldn't that make Rogue One the 11th film in the Star Wars franchise? Quote

If you include those you will have to include the Holiday Special, making "Force Awakens" the 11th film. As a distracting side note I watch the Star Wars Holiday Special (Rifftrax version) every year. The jokes about the commercials are the best. Someday I will bother to track down how Rifftrax got the rights to release this particular item. Quote

Ah... but isn't the Holiday Special merely a TV special, whereas the Ewoks movies are described as TV movies? Quote

Dynaman Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 They were all crap so I don't think it much matters. I don't know the running time of the two Ewoks bits of dreck and have no intention of ever finding out. As for the Ewok stuff being at movie theaters it might have been outside of the US but I never saw anything in wide release here (it could have been shown at a local theater somewhere but that wouldn't count). derex3592 Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Now I'm a HUGE Toy Story fan, but this one looks not at all very interesting to me. Trailer didn't make me laugh once. They should have stopped after 3 IMHO. Quote

Andre Dutra Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Well, I liked. Probably will end a cycle to start another. Children grow up and pass their toys. That’s what it appear to be the main scope. Quote
Dynaman Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 For a second there I thought it was a real cat. Incredible. Quote
Dynaman Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 That was epic. I say that having had toys that were just as disappointing... I also fully remember the Evil Knevil craze - but the EK zip toy actually did move really fast since it was one of those zip wheel toys. Quote
