seti88 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Whee.....does it glow in the dark? Hmm in some way Bandai is following Arcadia releases lol...what was Arcadia’s scale again... Quote
Lolicon Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Does it transform? Will it have LED lights like the other Kikan Taizen ships? And why is Bandai competing with themselves? (Megahouse is a Bandai subsidiary.) Quote

seti88 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 cool thanks, couldnt look for it cos was on the run...so this is like the HMR version! Quote
sh9000 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I might get one of these to go in the detolf and look like it’s a distance away from my HMR. Quote
spacemanoeuvres Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I like it; for some reason this is more appealing than the Arcadia version. Maybe I’ll change my mind when I see the price hehe Quote
anime52k8 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 1/6000? it's going to be so adorably tiny. Quote
tekering Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 3 hours ago, Lolicon said: Does it transform? Will it have LED lights like the other Kikan Taizen ships? It would be impossible to transform, at that scale... although I suppose some fiber-optic lighting is feasible. Quote

They could make it a parts-former like the Megahouse. In fact, this basically looks to me like the movie version of the Megahouse SDF-1. It’s the same scale. Quote

I was really thinking of the concurrent releases of the Yamato and Andromeda. A movie version at this scale would be neat, though I hope the proportions aren't as odd as the TV release. Quote
Alex GS Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 hmmm Bandai sure know how to destroy wallets , Chucks DX, DX Arads Armor, VF 1J Strike parts 1/48, New Metal Builds, HMR VF 4, Soul of Chogokin Mazingers, now this SDF 1 !! , ouch indeed!, Quote
Toonz Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 how many movie version sdf1 do we need? why can't they start off with tv version first....? Quote
easnoddy Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I don't think this guy will transform. Quote
jenius Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Is this a different line than the MegaHouse Cosmo Fleet? It seems like it would fit in perfectly with that line. Quote

Not if it's 1:6000, as labeled. The Megahouse is 1:5000. That's a significant difference, as any Star Trek collector can tell you. Quote
jvmacross Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 So if it's smaller than the W.H.A.M and it doesn't transform this will be an easy pass. Kind of a massive step backwards from that 1/1800 beast Bandai teased a few Tamashii shows ago. Quote
seti88 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Hmm trying to start a macross spaceship line... Quote

nightmareB4macross Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 (edited) It might just be but me I am sensing a 66.6cm long Nuptiet Vergnitzs. The ship could be sold in one box and broken down into about 4 or 5 parts. Edited October 25, 2018 by nightmareB4macross Doh. Quote
Slave IV Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 (edited) Looks like the shoulder lasers have the slot they would need to transform. Could just be for detail though. Edit: Looking closer, I can't make out any elbow joints. Edited October 25, 2018 by Slave IV Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 This one already exists 19.5 inches approximately 50cm, and comes in 5 parts (IIRC). Quote

That was a low quantity run of a resin kit from a guy down in Australia years ago, I own one, I love it...not really the same kind of thing, so can't really compare to a small scale toy. Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I’m just saying the size for production is really not too far off. Making a static model would be a strong possibility at this scale. If the parts breakdown would be similar to this kit then it’s totally doable. Quote
Lolicon Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 If it's non-transformable then I expect it to have LEDs like the other releases in the line. Quote
DewPoint Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 If it doesn't transform, why are the ARMDs in that position? Makes you wonder. Quote

Good catch....the "01" ARMD goes where the "02" ARMD currently is attached on the toy....implying some partsformation is going to be happening?....let's hope so Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 If it's a static display, I think 20cm is a good size as a display piece for your work station. Quote
jenius Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 I think it just means the Armds will need to be attached. Quote
kyekye Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 It's non-transform version and looks like it was put together in a hurry... Quote

So they will do things like Yamato, Harlock, Gundam Dunbine ships..etc. Megahouse did a 'Cosmo fleet' series for a while back. This looks like upgraded bigger version of new series. Edited October 26, 2018 by kyekye Quote
jenius Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 The Megahouse Cosmo Fleet was 20.3cm long or 1/5800... so this is practically the same. Quote
