I have a P-47 model my dad got cheap from the Franklin Mint but it is missing a propeller blade. I was wondering what material I could use to sculpt a new one. Thanks in advance to anybody who can help.

What scale is it? You could probably get a modle kit of the same scale and use it. Or they may even sell props at a hobby shop.

Making one would be very difficult because of the angles and such.

Thanks for the replies. I believe its a 1/48 scale. The prop is rather small so if I did have to make a new one it shouldn't be too terribly hard to sculpt. But kitbashing does sound like a nice alternative if I can't sculpt it. Anyone know where I can find a cheap 1/48 P-47 model? I'll check out that site, neptunesurvey. Still I would like to know what I could use to make a new one. I've seen lots of people making custom parts for models before. What do you use?

-edit- oops wrong scale it is actually 1/48

uhm... I have no idea what you need unless you post a pic but... I did recentlt "rescue" a few unbuilt model planes from a dumpster I figured I could use as bitz at some point. I know I have a couple of propellers in the mix and I know I'll never use them so I'd be happy enough to let you have them if they might be of use.
