mog_kupo Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Yeah, those "shields" look nice But I'm guessing this one will go down on price after release Quote
anime52k8 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 (edited) Well, you can take the clear shields, butt thruster and GN condenser off this one and put them on the previous MB Dynames and make the Repair version from the movie. :edit: also the new guns look cool. if the price drops enough this would be a nice accessory set and you can just leave the main figure in the box. (~35% with state tax) Got them via Asia PBan instead for a mere ~2% more than Japan MSRP. Edit: Both Hobby-Genki and Anime-Export restocked as of this edit. Edited May 17 by akai21 Quote

I haven't ordered any big item for months that I have it shipped by itself. But I have here a shipping inquiry below from Yoyakunow on my DX YF-21 order. I politely asked them to compare it to what stock they currently have which. In which they replied they used DX VF-1J. Estimated shipping weight: 3000g Surface Mail: Y4000 (2 to 4 mos) FedEx: Y8468 (5 days) UPS: Y8928 (4 days) Airmail: Y9200 (3 to 6 mos) EMS: Y10300 (10 to 20 days) DHL: Y12333 (5 days) Hopefully the estimated prices below doesn't go up due to Yen's current value. Hope that helps. Quote
bakerjin Posted May 18 Posted May 18 13 hours ago, weiser21 said: How much is shipping to the US these days? I paid 6134 yen on 2/27 for FedEx International shipping for MB Kampfer. I recently paid 3593 yen on 5/11 for FedEx International shipping for MB GN Arms D. Each arrived in 3-5 days. I think their shipping cost is very reasonable. On another note, what is so special about this new Dynames Saga? Not trying to be Debbie downer on it but I just don’t have any clue what 00 Saga is. Is this worth getting if I already have Dynames Repair 3 and Devise? Quote

It is something new for the Gundam 00 Revealed Chronicle CGI shorts that fill in 00 with new content. The SAGA is a reference to the Cherudim Saga from Gundam 00V. The took bits of the color scheme, style, and arsenal from the SAGA and applied it in a similar fashion to the Dynames for a 'new' makeshift repair unit/variant. We haven't seen or heard much from Gundam 00 Revealed Chronicle past it's initial video/trailer and this design hasn't even appeared in it or any other media (yet.) It honestly feels like they are just stalling and trying to get more money out of the existing Dynames kit instead of making the other gundams or mobile suits from the 00 series... Quote

Their 1:100 conversion been like that ever since no matter how high or low the Yen is. Hobby-Genki has it for Y49350. But it got sold out the moment it went live. For some reason, Anime-Export didn't carry this web exclusive item. But if you're interested, Nin-Nin-Game has it for Y54990. However, the page still says 'Soon available' on the button even though the given PO start time already had past. You can probably try and do those 'notify me' buttons just in case. Hope that helps. Good luck! Quote
Sanity is Optional Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (edited) Going to try my luck with a proxy order, which was $300 (pre-shipping) vs the $470 US P-Bandai would have cost after tax+shipping. [Edit] Proxy wasn't able to get an order, so looks like I pay the Bandai USA tax. Edited May 22 by Sanity is Optional Quote

Twich It is from Gundam Build Fighters: Try and is a custom build designed and build by a lunatic (in a good way) Gunpla prodigy. Everyone in the show is shocked when they see the "Super Robot" mode. It looks good but I feel it doesn’t fit well into a Metal Build collection since it has none of the arbitrary markings. Quote
davidwhangchoi Posted May 24 Posted May 24 (edited) not going to lie, all this new SOC going out there with a build fighters release and the continuing of the 00 MB releases and not a gp-02 in sight got me bothered. We'll probably see metal build GPB-04B Beargguy before 0083 Edited May 24 by davidwhangchoi Quote
Test_Pilot_2 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 I only have room for one lion-faced mecha in my heart... The OG Mirai Daltanious (why I got Figh instead of Gao)... However, this Tryon got me with the combination aspect. I know where it's from, but I would display this one separate from the Gundam cabinets. Like many are saying it's too over the top... Maybe I'll display it with Bang Bang Bravern once that comes out... for science. Quote
anime52k8 Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Tryon 3 is glorious and I want one, but I'm curious what the size will be like. It may be the super robot Gundam but I still want it in a standard Gundam scale. Quote

I think in universe the Double Zeta is 21 metres, so the SOC technically is 1/100 scale or at least very close to it. I would like to know how good articulation is going to be, from my limited dabbling in the SOC line it isn't exactly setting high standards. The biggest question however is, can/will this be retooled into the original ZZ Gundam and released under Metal Build/Composite line? Quote

From what I saw in a Korean preview, they said this figure was supposed to be Metal Build originally (hence all the stylized design choices instead of being slavishly toon accurate like much of Chogokin figures), but they backtracked late in the design because they felt the expected paint finish of Metal Build figures would not last due to all the transformation and combination gimimicks. This makes me think that they could release a ZZ Gundam based on this mold sinec it was already designed by the MB team, but whether it is announced as a Chogokin or a Metal Build depends on whether they are willing to add a quality paint finish, despite inevitable paint chipping. I personally hope they go ahead and paint it since I probably wouldn't transform/combine it more than once. Quote
