Dam if I had more money I still wouldn’t buy lol. They ruined me when they teased the 2nd L and I’m sure the crossbone will get the skull heart edition eventually

I heard rumors Bandai will sell FC crossbone next year, it is a pack full weapon and crossbone not the accessories since the chest mark of the existing x1 can not by replaced.

HLJ also has first release edition of strike

freedom for 23750 yen and seven sword G for 17100 yen early yesterday, but sold out really quick

Kinda glad I didn't notice those, they already got $730 out of me for other stuff on that restock.

Haha well the strike freedom is a very good price and it looks like soul blue is less popular than the first release edition also they got

https://www.hlj.com/metal-build-arbalest-ver-iv-bann17738 ARBALEST for 19950

https://www.hlj.com/metal-build-laevatein-ver-iv-bann17778 LAEVATEIN re-issue version for 17100

https://www.hlj.com/metal-build-great-mazinger-bans55478 GREAT MAZINGER for 20900

yeah, the FMP MBs are pretty nice. I love them all.   It's too bad they are not that popular.

I just opened M9, impressed by it. So many accessories to play around.

I've already got both of those FMP Metal Builds (plus a pair of gernsbacks) or I'd have jumped on those as well.

I'm sad that the FMP ones weren't more popular, would have loved to get a Codarl as well.

Thanks for posting these. I actually wasn't aware of the FMP Metal Builds. I'm going to pick up the Arbalest!

arbalest is cheaper i think in Mandarake if you are okay buying from there.

Looks like I missed the ones on HLJ (I didn't think they were that popular so didn't order right away).

Is there something particularly sketch about Mandarake?

Try FromJapan, DeJapan, or ZenMarket.

Just copy the address into their search bar and fill out the form that comes up.

Thank you!

Mandarake is solid. I’ve spent more with them than with HLJ, possibly HLJ and NY combined.

The full review article with gallery for the Bandai Metal Build 00 Raiser Designer Blue Variant is up on Kuma Style; https://kumastyledesigns.com/metal-build-00-raiser-db-review/

Article breaks it down in depth but gave it an overall 8.5/10. It's a really great repaint of one of Bandai's best additions to the Metal Build Line in general.

Here are some pictures from the gallery portion;

Wondering why this line hasn't started doing build fighters and Divers since there are retools of existing pieces like the Build strike.

Very true man. A metal build Strike Noir would end my collecting so maybe they hold off

Probably due to target audience. The Build Fighters/Divers/Etc... kits are almost entirely HG, and aimed primarily at kids, whereas the metal builds are aimed at adult collectors. The target age of the source material is also a bit younger for the former.

Well, hats off to AmiAmi customer service, they sent me the right Destiny after paying another shipping fee while keeping the wrong one

They didn't have you send the wrong one back?

So would you excuse something like G Gundam not getting them for the same reasons?

It was an option, send the wrong one after receiving the new Destiny

I proposed a discount on the new set, paying shipping and taxes (again) for it and keep the old one

Bandai is a business, and it's pretty clear from the way they run the metal build and DX chogokin lines that there's a limit to their manufacturing capabilities when it comes to volume. They'll focus on whatever they can be most sure of selling out.

It sucks if you're a fan of some of the shows they don't decide are worth pursuing in some of the lines (like how I'm pretty sure we'll never see Full Metal Panic antagonist mechs from Bandai, in either 1/60 models or metal build), but it's not exactly an odd way to run a company.

So, you think they produced duds like the F91 due to massive popularity? We're all adults and understand basic supply and demand but to even pretend like thr Build series doesn't have a massive adult audience is pretty out of sync with what's actually going on. I literally said Build Strike which is the main character's suit in Fighters and did not request something like Bear Guy (even though I'd kill for it.)

In fact, if they were going sincerely bythe sake of popularity and consumerism Build stuff would've been done well before FMP in general (which have also flopped sales wise and like F91 canne found regularly for below MSRP at this point.)

I certainly didn't bring this up to argue but even by the standards you're presenting here doing some to homage the series is pretty deserved.

At this point, unless proof is provided supporting claim of either side, it's all just an assumption whether it is or not popular with adults.

I don't have any attachment to the Tomino/UC era or to these pokemon/yugioh-ish marketing Build Fighters. I'm more into the AU stuff and generally happy with the MB assortment. I say generally only because I would like Bandai to at least complete a lineup of the main characters in any of the series they have released so far.
