That is pretty much required for EVA 01 unless it is incorporated.

I know there wasn't any indication if this is based on the Anima line (which it kinda looks like it). But if I were to get one Eva as part of my collection, I rather to have something like this setup from the Chogokin Super Evangelion with the Weapon Bay Carousel. In which I'm sure they will release 'something' Tamashii Web Exclusive Option Add-On Set months after.

 

And yes, @davidwhangchoi. They're basically robbing us.

I think that like Makoto Kobayashi, Ikuto Yamashita has become a prisoner of his CAD tools, his pre-Anima work was far more organic. And, like kanjrig mentioned, this EVA looses it's original concept.

Still, Yamashita is ahead of the game in terms of general mecha design and I can't wait to see the full body.

I am curious what gimmicks are integrated into the main body. Will the progressive knives be stored in the shoulder pylons? I hope we get similar storage bay like the FMA releases got. Bandai could include a ton of accessories if they want.

On the fence on the EVA.  Waiting for final release details later this week to reserve judgement.

Still hoping for an Astray Blue Frame 2nd Revise, along with the Crossbone Gundams to go with my F91's.

I'm waiting for final pics to decide. Always had a love hate relationship with evas. Love the somewhat organic designs which were a departure from other mecha designs back then but those same organic elements were kind of creepy and disturbing. So I actually appreciate the more mechanical redesign for this.

 The last two episodes of the tv series mind f***ed me for quite a while. This feeling of discomfort kept me from buying any previous Eva releases.

There was a survey by Bandai Japan on what suits from Gundam Seed would you like to see next to/after the Aile Strike in the Metal Build line (that's what I pieced together from google translate so please correct me if I'm wrong)

Place 1 and 2 are Destiny Justice Gundam and Providence Gundam respectively by a wide margin. On place 3 to 5 there are Strike Rouge, Aegis Gundam and the Buster Gundam.

I would love to get a MB Destiny Justice Gundam (after the Crossbones) but I also would like to see a MB Buster Gundam.  

[edit:] Fixed my mistake. It is of course the Justice Gundam... don't know why I typed Destiny maybe because I'm thinking about buying the Heine Custom lately...

1st place is Justice Gundam, not Destiny. And I don't think they will include Destiny again in this survey since it's already got made a few years ago.

I still take some dumb measure of pride in not knowing which of those names is which Gundam. I hear the names and I expect them to follow up with a Truth Gundam, and a The American Way Gundam.

Seed and Seed Destiny were awful so I can't remember any of the lame suit or Gundam names from those shows either. All I can say to Bandai asking which Seed Gundams do we want next is NONE! To this day I haven't purchased a Metal Build because of crap like this, they keep putting out the most boring ass Gundams from the worst series in the history of Gundam.

I really wanted the F91, that's the only Metal Build that ever interested me, a half dozen versions of the same stupid Seed, and Seed Destiny Gundams will continue to keep me from this line. On the same note, a half dozen versions of the stupid Exia and 00 don't do anything for me either. I liked both seasons of 00, the Exia and 00 were cool, not cool enough for this kind of money, and not cool enough to get so many different versions released over and over, with a half dozen accessory packs to match.

I hate to be that guy, but actually I don't, I'm glad the line has it's fans and sells out almost immediately, but this giant hard on for the same series and suits continues to kill any and all interest I've ever had for this line. Can we get some Metal Build UC? Wing AC? The constant Seed and 00 is beyond tiring.

Since Metal Build is branching out to NGE I'll probably take more interest in what they announce, but the Gundam stuff is mostly dead to me. I'll take a crack at Unit 01 if I can, but I'm not going to struggle or get mad if I don't get one, the pre-order nonsense for this line is another reason to not bother most of the time.

Reserved a Strike Freedom from a local seller at $350. Hope it pans out.  Not too bad considering the retail and difficulty of getting one. Saw the various auctions going around $400 and up. 

See if the price drops after lottery pieces are out.
