1 main light - I can say it's search light function - like in explorer submarines, but that Christmas light is just too much...:D

I wonder if there are any moving parts.. They didn't say anything..but head seem in different angle in different pics

I'll take out the batteries, sand out some details I don't like and erase 'hot air' marking and replace with something like 'no step'

And erase any R logo with M logo

It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours (if you have the right tools and some left over decals). I think it's worth it. :D

They are selling these at Sideshow Collectibles for $229, limited 1300 for the 1S and 1J. 600 for the 1D and 1A.

If they had one of the girls like in the artwork on the last page I would definitely pick one of these up.

It's funny how they put those lineart for reference in the eye and some tech details. Yet they don't show where did they get the idea or reference for those neck pistons. :nea:

Says this about them....

As for the neck to the body part, Kids Logic added the details of the parts in order to make the large proportion of the finished product, such as the metal pressure tube of the neck, and the neck of the original VF-1 series is just a cylinder. Although it is not loyal to the original, but the reporter will look at the BANDAI design of the upstairs FORMANIA bust series, the designer will also enter the details in his own style, which is not uncommon. In addition, there are praises, I appreciate the small armor on the chest, but such a large spoiler failed to open to see the details, a pity.

In a way, that's true

This is Bandai Formania Sazabi - their inspiration

And the original design. not this much of inner mechanical details

I'll admit, they look cool, and gimmicks help sell a product, but FFS, why do they keep illuminating what is essentially a camera pod?

Put the shiny things and blinky lights elsewhere.

With Lights on (not so annoying, but 2 small ones on left corner still blinks on/off)

Back side detail.

Head/Neck/Antenna articulation - I was actually impressed! They used ball joint and all 4 actuators are moving like endoskeleton in Terminator (Although this detail part is pure imagination of Kids logic side)

All this detail really makes sense for Fokker’s 1S bust. I mean it has a flask on it’s back. No wonder Roy was never afraid of anything he had a camelback with liquor reserve on the VF’s back.:p

ROFL!!

In all seriousness though: while I like the detail, the neck mechanics look a little too exposed, unless the armor for it is omitted in the sculpture for the sake of viewing. I know on the VF-1S, it has a series of "gussets' between the head and the neck.

Interesting enough but I don't think this is going to break sites like some of the other preorders do.  It'd be cool to see these in person though for sure.  Could definitely be useful in a power outage too depending how bright those leds are. :D

Quick photo review of VF-1S bust

Mostly good

Kinda wished the head lasers to have independent ball joint, but it's a solid piece

It has the same neck pistons, but you can NOT do much this time. Al you can do is rotate it a little to sides (like 3 degrees) and the neck frame gets stuck.

Just short sighted design.

The X-mas headlight is annoying as last one. I'll probably never use it.

Other details are mostly nice (except for the 'no step' decal.

This would be the last one I get

Keykey congratulations on your acquisition and I am truly happy you like it.

From your pictures, this is way too angular and It seems to loose that organic feel from the original design.

Definitely not for me.
