Axelay Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Is it safe to assume that these are for v2 1/60s and not v1s? Quote

sh9000 Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 I think if 2 sets are ordered, the coupon should be able to be applied to the remaining balance when that is due later since it will be more than $80. Also Fext Hobby stated that the $6 shipping is generated by their system and the actual shipping cost will be calculated later. https://facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=282820399114369&id=232383547421823 Cool scifi backdrop built by Fext System. I want one for all of my HMR. Quote

But damn I’m going to have to put my money where my mouth is. I’ll probably try to configure a display for some of my 1/60 and 1/48 Valks out of the parts too. Quote
sh9000 Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Just sell the pieces separately for cheap. Put my down payment for the 1/60 Set A and B earlier this morning. If they let me use the coupon when it’s time to pay the remaining balance then that’s cool. Also ordered 2 more 102 Armors for now with the coupon. I’ll order more Armors in groups of 2 with the coupon later. Quote
Axelay Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Sorry to do this, but noob questions inbound... - What's this coupon of which you guys speak? - If these won't fit v1 1/60s, what are some reasonably-priced still-available candidates for this armor? I seem to have stuck with the 1/48s back in the day... Quote

I seem to have stuck with the 1/48s back in the day... They included a $5 off coupon with each 1/100 armor people bought. It’s only good for $80+ purchases before the end of the year. The new 1/60 armor is priced just under $80. Your best bet for getting V2 1/60 Valks for cheap is to buy someone’s used one they are willing to give up or buy the new releases when they come out. Most people are expecting the upcoming Anniversary Vf-1 from Arcadia to go on clearance eventually just like all the other ones have. Quote
Vi-RS Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 I really should have un-followed this thread, and wait maybe I should not visit MW at all. Quote
ScrambledValkyrie Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 That 1/100 display stage is incredible! I'd love to get one, but there's absolutely no way I'd have the space for it. Quote
chyll2 Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 The lighting in that massive display is amazing. I know a custom can produce better lighting but if they are able to mass produce it at cheaper price, then it will be a good seller (basically can be used to display any scale) Quote
jvmacross Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 looks good....fill it up with destoids and it can pass as a Daedelus diorama.... Only complaint is the "FEXT HOBBY" text....needs to go Quote

BlueMax Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 The OWL armors and this display has/will probably sold/sell more Hi-Metal Rs than bandai itself! I'm seeing retailers sell out and/or raise prices for their previously shelf-warming HMRs over the last week! Quote
chyll2 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 (edited) I only noticed it now, the display piece/rack can also be used to display the official HMR Super/Strike and GBP parts as well Edited September 4, 2018 by chyll2 Quote
ScrambledValkyrie Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 I just realized that they positioned each armor set below the valk it was intended for. Nice arrangement -- and marketing ploy! Quote

My whole U.N Spacy HMR collection could fit in that with room for expansion. That would be great to have everything contained in one nice spot. Just need something for the Zentraedi mecha. Quote
sh9000 Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 If Fext System sells the large display then I’ll need 2 or 3 of them to connect together. Quote
Ridden001 Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 (edited) The missiles have a clear lense for the seeker head. That is a huge detail. Edited September 7, 2018 by Ridden001 Quote
Lolicon Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 With set A and B of the 1/60 versions I'll finally have a use for the spare TV Roy and Hikaru I have lying around. And to think I briefly considered selling them! Quote
no3Ljm Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Did anyone asked FEXT if their 1/60 OWL will be painted? And if so, are they doing the plain Unit 000 color scheme? Quote
seti88 Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Asked the same question last page and bluemax mentioned... spacemanoeuvres Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I like it; will preorder once I have my coupons handy Quote

spacemanoeuvres Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I like the light on the ceiling of the base display but the MSG Chain Bases by kotobukiya look a little nicer to me eye. Quote

I really wasnt gonna get OWL for 1/60. But with a color scheme this beautiful... Quote
derex3592 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Yeh...I hear you on that..I may have to get one of that scheme for my Low-Vis Focker.... Quote
Mommar Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I really don’t think they would suit the Low Viz Fokker nearly as well as something like the VF-X. The Fokker is pretty blue colored, really. Quote
jenius Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) That's a very good point, the trick here is going to be to try to match the white with the valk so any TV valk (or Arcadia VF-1, excluding the pink 1J). I think TV Focker may be a front runner here. It may also give some people a reason to build there assembly kits without worrying about painting them. Edited September 9, 2018 by jenius Quote
Sanity is Optional Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Unfortunately, the only matching VF-1 I have is my Strike Roy, and I want to keep that one without the armor. If they made one that could go with my Milia 1J, then I'd go for it. Quote
sh9000 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 The Armor would probably look pretty cool on a 1/60 Low Vis VF-1A if one was made like the 1/48. Quote
