Dynaman Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 I admit that I am a sucker for Winnie the Pooh and although it is only a teaser trailer the voice is perfect. Quote
no3Ljm Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 I just realized that last year's Goodbye Christopher Robin is not made by Disney. Looking forward also on this one. Quote
505thAirborne Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 So this will be the rated G version of TED? I grew up with a 4ft Winnie The Pooh as a little kid, I'll be looking forward to this! Quote
Tking22 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Wow, this looks INCREDIBLE. And is that Jim Cummings as Pooh? I mean it has to be, there can be only one. I am so pleased they didn't go with some random big name celebrity for his voice, hearing him hit me directly in the feels. Quote

Surely if there can be only one, it would be Frank Welker playing Jim Cummings playing Poohbear. Except once they let Welker in, suddenly he's the entire cast for some reason. Quote
mikeszekely Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 Yeah, Pooh's voice sounds good because it is Pooh, Jim Cummings. Dunno about Walker, but Peter Cullen was Eeyore. Well, the plot sort of reminds me of that Hook movie with Robin Williams, which I'm not ashamed to say I enjoyed. And my mom is a huge Winnie the Pooh fan. Maybe I'll take her. Quote
Dynaman Posted March 8, 2018 Author Posted March 8, 2018 Got him mixed up with Piglet's VA who died a few years back. Still, he sounds a lot like the original guy from 77 too. Quote
kalvasflam Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 (edited) Hoping for Disney's version of Ted. This is Pooh after he's aged, bitter, and cynical. For Pooh: Piglet = bacon Eeyore = beast of burden that hauls his stuff around, to be beaten into submission at the drop of a hat. Tigger = the sucker he makes fun of, who is just happy being blithely unaware And don't get me started on Christoper Robin. Edited March 9, 2018 by kalvasflam Quote
UN Spacy Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Of course it’s gonna have a former/current Star Wars or MCU actor in it...SIGH. Pooh looks great though. Quote

David Hingtgen Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 I am only considering seeing this in theaters because Ewan McGregor can give a good performance with garbage to work with, so if it’s even a half-way decent script then it could be good. Quote
Tking22 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Oh my FEELS! Seriously though, still looking fantastic. I'm sure this will make Disney a bunch more money, plus Obi-Wan is just so delightful! Quote
kalvasflam Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 This looks fun... nothing is impossible, and nothing is what I do everyday Quote
tekering Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Weird, watching the DVD supplementals before the movie's even in theaters... Quote
Dynaman Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 Watched this, well most of it, on Netflix today. Such a disappointment. It was all I could do not to fall asleep. Voice wide Pooh and Tigger were spot on (since the normal guy was doing the voices that makes sense) but Owl, Rabbit, and Piglet just didn't fit. Eyore was just as I remember too (though I did not check to see if it was the same Voice as before). The characters just didn't look how I would have expected either. Quote
easnoddy Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I fell asleep for a bit in the theater during this. It was so slow. Cute enough film. I've actually been falling asleep in a lot of kids movies at the theater (Lego Batman, Pooh, Mary Poppins, Teen Titans Go, Lego Movie 2). But not at all in Jurassic and Marvel films. Are the kids movies this boring or am I becoming selectively narcoleptic? Quote
derex3592 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 you just realize the kids have a 90 minute 70ft wide babysitter in front of them and you need the sleep.... Quote
