len_d69 Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Just want to share my latest LEGO Build (VF-1S Hikaru Custom) Tried my luck and submitted to LEGO Ideas - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/05fa98d7-1b21-4b5d-b923-0c7617b3fc85 There was one submission back in 2011 that was not approved, but I'm hoping things might have changed. Never expected Voltron to be approved Quote
tiaolipa Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Hi, I've made a VF-1 like 15 years ago, and I don't have it built anymore. But you can see its pictures here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=158386 I was not the lego builder I am today, so it wasn't very detailed, but to this date, I think its the better shaped lego VF-1! What do you guys think? Quote
juice14 Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Both are awesome.... prefer Len_d69 version for sleekness and use of SNOT techniques with smooth plates. However feel tiaolipa version is more proportionately accurate.... it reminds me of Shoji Kawamori's prototyping style. Great stuff! Quote
tiaolipa Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Oh, I like the SNOT one much mote too! len_d69 made an awesome job there! If I'd make it today, I'd try some SNOT, though I'll probably would have to buy tons of new pieces. My Legos are almost all outdated now, as are my MTG decks haha Quote
