As a fan of the HMR VF-1, to me the DX is like an oversized HMR with all of the details and features not possible for the HMR because of its size. I love both the DX and HMR VF-1. I just wish this had more TV hands. Yes, those shoulders sliding is the same as the HMR improvement over the Yammie design. The rest of the transformation is largely the same as the v2 yammies for both the DX and the HMR. Except the swing bar separator. and the improvement on the hips rotation, and the sideways thighs swivel.

Anasazi37
My Max showed up from NY a few days ago. No damage to the box, no shoulder hinge issues. That blue is impressive in person. I've been waiting six months to do this. Still tweaking the pose, but it's about as close as you can get with a DX.

Wow very nice effects Lolicon! What are the steps you used for this? Just panel lining or do you weather it a bit too?

Just remember to place the camera bellow the waist line. Most shots in the animation were from "street" level to convey the sensation of size. sh9000
Yep if it’s one thing that @vlenhoff has taught me is to place the camera low to match the shots.

It was fun...but the problem was, and probably continues to be, that there are not enough photoshop gurus with free time and waaaay too many guys with cool toys and the available time to pose them! You can imagine what it feels to dust and pack-up years of Macross, StarWars, and Transformers goodness. That and we got super busy at work, so time was scarce. Thanks for the compliment! I'll give it another shot, but please be patient with me! We all have so much to do, and sometimes we have little time for our hobbies. nightmareB4macross
Great pics All! This looks be the latest challenge. To all VF-1A Max owners like myself, was I the only one to be disappointed to see DYRL hands in a TV version release. Bandai missed on making a full and better set for TV Valkyrie owners. Lolicon
I prefer the DYRL hands over the TV clown hands. Bandai should have just included a full set of each type so people could choose which they prefer.

Although the area on the gunpod is too small, I wish the VF-1A TV Max and VF-1J Hikaru had at least one TV hand where the index finger can go over the trigger. F360
Remember when Dx-vf1a max tv was sold out super quick on preorder night ? And then someone posted a link to a new store that still have the preorder open at msrp and below? Even have good shipping rate? well , item arrived couple of days ago but I wasn’t able pick it up until the weekends . Good packaging , shipped out on the 19th with tracking.
