sh9000 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I’m ok if it is 1/48 scale. It will be my first Valkyrie in that scale. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Chest-plate looks too wide and too "flat" to me---it should "curve back" a bit. (In other words, the top of the fuselage in fighter mode, should be arched a bit). Quote
Convectuoso Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 The chest stripe is so wrong. Still, I'd like to what the price is going to be for this, if it's ever released Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I take my word back, its big alright. I wonder if its going to be a Tamashii exclusive. Even though it looks awesome but still I prefer the HMR valks scale. Quote
MACROSS25 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Da hell..! we have too many 1/55s 1/60s 1/48s c'mon Bandai give me the one showed on 2015 , make a VF-1J DX for god sakes! with hangar , movable parts , vehicles n personnel , something that can be the center of my collection! Quote
davidwhangchoi Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 does it have sliding engine intake covers? i want that. Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 At first I thought this would simply be a scaled down version of the 1/35 prototype, but there appear to be multiple differences between the two. Sadly, those differences make the toy look worse IMO. I hope that I'm wrong and that it's just due to the photo, because Bandai has been putting out some impressive toys in their Hi-Metal R line and this looks like a step backwards. Quote

lechuck Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I hope it has a rotating cockpit and somehow integral side covers. Quote

sh9000 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I’ll take integrated intake covers, side covers, and retractable pilot seat in Battroid mode. Quote
no3Ljm Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Up-close it's kinda have a 'blocky' look. Quote
sh9000 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 It’s like a chunky monkey version 2 with modern engineering and poseability. I like it. Quote

I like it. Agreed and agreed. I've been hoping for a 1/55 refresh ever since I handled my first HiMR. Still hoping for a relatively 'small' scale, in the area of 1/55 or 1/60. Anything bigger will make this cost and size prohibitive for me to collect. -b. Quote
jenius Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Looks like it has the air brake gimmick. Quote
Lolicon Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 It simultaneously manages to look better and worse than the old 1/48 Yamato version. It's amazing. Quote
HardlyNever Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 It will definitely be interesting to see how this design evolves before release (if it is released). I wonder how the Japenese market is responding, as their reaction (among other factors) will probably determine if this is released or not. Quote

Sanity is Optional Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 (edited) According to google translate on my phone: One time space alloy exhibition in 2015. And at the TAMASHII NATION 2016 held the following year, Valkyrie's solid appearing in each work ? was completed. "TAMASHII NATIONS VALKYRIE PROJECT" is now proceeding so that you can keep them as products. Now, ? is announcing 2 aircraft at different sizes. Please stay tuned. Sounds like there's 2 different scales of aircraft incoming. Edited December 3, 2017 by Sanity is Optional Quote
jenius Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Hmm, well, I like one... but I like two MORE!!!! Fingers crossed, looking forward to more news. Quote
seti88 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 (edited) I wonder what material that gunstrap in a DX valk would be made of...just regular cloth i suppose? Edited December 3, 2017 by seti88 Quote
UN Spacy Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Trying to look for that new animation for the Hi-Metal promo. Quote
Graham Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Honestly, I'm not liking the proportions of the shoulders and chest at all. I far preferred the look of the 1/35 prototype they showed a few years ago. Quote

MikeRoz Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Now that thing, I'd get. Look at all the rivets. Quote
