Very nice!!!!!

Will it come with two stands??

19K yen is not too bad + retail discount, should be looking at 17 to 18K yen, wow! Can't wait!!!!!!

Seems like it does.

Does anyone recall how the initial PO for the HMR Fokker that included the stand was handled?

I think basically it was 2 separate PO dates....but not sure...

Based on the video, it looks like each individual wing is not just 1 piece.

Rather, it almost looks like it is made of 2 pieces:  the primary wing and a separate wing flap behind it.

UN Spacy VF-1J Valkyrie Hikaru Ichijo Type
Initial Limited Edition VF-1J

Exclusive stand available with initial release
(a lot of this stuff is repetitive, so I'll skip or summarize)
1/48 scale allows special details and gimmicks
Macross visual artist redesigned the markings for various parts of the aircraft
This scale allows the opening and closing of the airbrakes
The movable canopy features the pilot Hikaru Ichijo inside the cockpit
Movable covers on top of the chest allows gaps to be filled once transformed
The new movable axis on the upper leg allows a wider stance
Side covers are provided to fill in the gaps behind the chest
The articulated hands has 14 points of articulation
New rotating waist gimmick
Removable rod antennas for GERWALK included
Removable gun strap and the gunpod is adjustable for fighter mode.
Double jointed elbows
270mm in Battroid (10.62 inches)
The weight corresponds to the 1:48 scale due to the die cast volume. (meaning it weighs how it looks mofos!)
Fighter, GERWALK, and Battroid are smooth in each mode doe to new design
Again, it's posable AF

Seems the antenna is not integrated.

No mention of any extra options like the attachable seat thru the neck that was part of the Yamato options parts.

Wonder if there are any other surprises?

"VF-1J VALKYRIE FIRST EDITION"

So..... what are the odds this will get obsoleted by a RENEWAL version in a few years?

And wow, did they use a 1/60 or 1/72 scale pilot for a 1/48 scale bird? Hikaru is tiny compared to the cockpit.

If by renewal you include a smaller scaled version of practically the same thing....probably high....

I am....disappointed.

The toy and its gimmicks look wonderful and all. But being in another scale is a big turn off for me. My entire valk collection is in 1/60. Which is why I've managed to somehow resist the HMR line, despite it having the enemy mecha.

This is like asking someone who invested serious capital into Blu-ray, to suddenly re-collect all his movies in 4k.

Good luck with the pre-order madness guys!

Seeing that DX VF-1J, I now wish for Bandai to secure the rights for Macross The First. So they can milk the mold instantly for VF-1J MtF version.

And I was right. December release. Hehehe. ^_^

I wonder if Bandai will make it a double extra Merry Xmas with one last HMR PO?

Wow, that valkyrie is so big in his hands, I am sort of afraid the toy would be too monstrously large and heavy in my hands.

Ohhhh.....comes with a *gulp* Toynami 1/100 style stand .

I like the box though and the price is right, had it been around ¥27K I think I would've skipped. ¥20k is good. But till looks like a DX HMR with the old 1/48 gimmicks smacked on....Amd definitely not replacing all my all 1/48 Yammies though, too much hassle. Plus they're already not worth much, and I bet the price will plummet even more if Bandai announce an entire 1/48 line. Will most likely end up keeping everything as usual.....One thing though...It's a fact that Japanese collectors have a soft spot for smaller scales in general. Not to mention most people have settled for 1/60. Will it have enough appeal?

Wonder what Arcadia is thinking right now, we're getting a 1/48 VF tampo' d to death VF-1J for less cash than their premium 1/60 .RIP?
