Will it come with two stands?? 19K yen is not too bad + retail discount, should be looking at 17 to 18K yen, wow! Can't wait!!!!!! Seems like it does. Does anyone recall how the initial PO for the HMR Fokker that included the stand was handled? I think basically it was 2 separate PO dates....but not sure... Quote
arrow Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 will it have anything different? like opening panels to see the VF interiors Quote
Shizuka the Cat Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Based on the video, it looks like each individual wing is not just 1 piece. Rather, it almost looks like it is made of 2 pieces: the primary wing and a separate wing flap behind it. Quote

jvmacross Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Seems the antenna is not integrated. No mention of any extra options like the attachable seat thru the neck that was part of the Yamato options parts. Wonder if there are any other surprises? Quote
UN Spacy Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 These are gonna be easy to preorder...RIGHT?! Quote

Shizuka the Cat Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 (edited) "VF-1J VALKYRIE FIRST EDITION" So..... what are the odds this will get obsoleted by a RENEWAL version in a few years? And wow, did they use a 1/60 or 1/72 scale pilot for a 1/48 scale bird? Hikaru is tiny compared to the cockpit. Edited July 24, 2018 by Shizuka the Cat Quote

If by renewal you include a smaller scaled version of practically the same thing....probably high.... Quote

Sanity is Optional Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 It's also interesting to note that the hardpoints aren't the standard Bandai style, they instead look very similar to the Yamato/Arcadia style. Quote
brouken Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 I am....disappointed. The toy and its gimmicks look wonderful and all. But being in another scale is a big turn off for me. My entire valk collection is in 1/60. Which is why I've managed to somehow resist the HMR line, despite it having the enemy mecha. This is like asking someone who invested serious capital into Blu-ray, to suddenly re-collect all his movies in 4k. Good luck with the pre-order madness guys! Quote

no3Ljm Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Seeing that DX VF-1J, I now wish for Bandai to secure the rights for Macross The First. So they can milk the mold instantly for VF-1J MtF version. And I was right. December release. Hehehe. Quote

jvmacross Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Based on the HUD detail....looks like they went TV-style on the cockpit....could still be a hybrid version....need more pics.... Quote

spacemanoeuvres Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Looks great. This seems like a huge blow to Arcadia. Love the banking stand as well. Quote
tjdetweiler Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 I don't have any macross/valkyrie collection, so this would be a great start also scale wise for me Quote
mamboeidos Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Finally my super and strike stealth 1J has someone for company Quote
recon Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 First limited release box art and contents. Guess it will be a mad rush for this release Quote
spanner Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 looks pretty good and even though its out of my collection scale being 1:48, its cheap so I will definitely be getting one! Quote
Kinzoku VF Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Ohhhh.....comes with a *gulp* Toynami 1/100 style stand . I like the box though and the price is right, had it been around ¥27K I think I would've skipped. ¥20k is good. But till looks like a DX HMR with the old 1/48 gimmicks smacked on....Amd definitely not replacing all my all 1/48 Yammies though, too much hassle. Plus they're already not worth much, and I bet the price will plummet even more if Bandai announce an entire 1/48 line. Will most likely end up keeping everything as usual.....One thing though...It's a fact that Japanese collectors have a soft spot for smaller scales in general. Not to mention most people have settled for 1/60. Will it have enough appeal? Wonder what Arcadia is thinking right now, we're getting a 1/48 VF tampo' d to death VF-1J for less cash than their premium 1/60 .RIP? Quote
