Chronocidal Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Appreciate the update, I'd post that to the other NY thread too if you haven't already. Might be worth hammering the issue with Paypal a bit to see if they'll take action despite the timeline. Quote

You probably going to need a custom adapter for it to be able to use it. Quote

In my head, I rather do all the panel linings or weathering if I want to add it. So all of it will look the same. Or I'll just save a lot of money and send everything to @Lolicon so all of my Valks will have that Premium 'Lolicon-Special-Touch' Edition. And all the landing gears will be white. Man I don't even have time to finish off my own stuff, much less others'. Quote

The ones without it just look too plain by comparison. Can confirm. Just did a 'quick' panel lining of my copy of Roy and now I NEED to do the rest. I didn't even do a very good job, but it's HEAPS better than vanilla. I should do a side by side comparison... hmm Quote
Shawn Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Can we take a moment and go back to where the DX fun began with this unpainted prototype/test shot? So crazy to see it all white with no paint/tampo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnq2wVY8SFU Quote

KFDzero Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 The biggest issue with being a collector is you need double the space - to display and then to keep the box in as mint a condition as possible too... This doesn't even take into account the multiples of copies people buy, which if displayed in various modes, is double space again Quote

RedComet Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 Now imagine if we had taken every dime we spent on collectibles in the past 10 years and bought Bitcoin instead, we could build an ACTUAL Valkyrie with that much cash Quote

Eagerly awaiting the next round of TV Fast Packs to ship in April hopefully!?! that's beautiful. question though, I see you leave all the factory markings on there. but I've been wondering do you guys clear coat this before/after or do you just make the panel lines only? reason being, I just started doing panel lines on my first gundam model and have been thinking about doing a macross valkyrie toy too. Or if you have a guide I can look at, that would be cool. also yeah I'm waiting for my fast packs too. I ordered a couple sets. I'm going to put them on my TV Max and have another set spare. Definitely do a matte clear top coat if you are weathering and P lining. If you want to p line without a clear coat, I would recommend one of these. Quote

Nice thanks, so do you take a bare valk and then panel line, or do you clear coat it then panel line, and then clear coat over that? Also I'm new to this so my first panel line job isn't so great because of the molding lines on my first model kit but it is okayish. I have an easier time where the molding is sharp. Right now I'm waiting for more paint though. I really need a better source to buy tamiya paint from, my local train hobby store is taking forever to get my paint order in. I prefer these: https://www.hlj.com/gundam-marker-extra-thin-type-gray-for-panel-lines-gnzgm302p Usually called "extra thin" or "pour type" markers. They work via capillary action and will spread down crevices and lines on their own. Requires less tracing and less cleanup, they can also get into crevices where even fine-tips won't fit. Quote
