As far as I'm concerned, it's the best SOC Yamato to date. Bandai has consistently stepped up their game with each new release. I cannot wait to see what they come out with for Yamato 2205.

Gonna be real interesting to see who gets theirs vs who doesn't. Might even start a thread on it near release day to see who got a shipping notice and who didn't.

Damned good question. I was asking the same thing, you'd think that making a 2202 Andromeda would have been a no brainer, looks like we're going to have to wait and see if they do a 2205 Andromeda. Was shocked they did a Soul of Chogokin GX-89 Garmillas Warship instead. 

Space Battleship Yamato 2205 will be coming out late this year, BTW.

That makes no sense.  I'm not knocking the garmilas ship, but a new SOC Andromeda would've killed it.  But I guess Bandai didnt see it that way?

Apparently not.  Really puzzling, I would have loved to have been able to sit in on their release discussion just to know where their heads were at when they made that decision.

Yep, there is a lot of glorious tampo on these. As someone who hates putting on stickers, I like it.

I still remember a valk pre-order where almost no one posted that they got one and there was much swearing until a few days later NY posted them at mark up. I've found that subscribing to their email notification about when it is available is useful, you'll either get a notice when it reopens or when it becomes available on release day. 

I can't imagine what 25 Ozma re-release would be like, but it would probably be so horrific it would open a portal into some sort of hell dimension where karaoke was mandatory and the only selections on the screen were 80's boy bands.

So, after all the hype on the PO, i decided to go unbox my new VF1S Hikaru. To my suprise, this happens. So, who should I contact and get the part replacement? Please advice and thank you. Deng, what a day.

Unless the place you got it from can help you you’re SOL. Bandai doesn’t service customers outside of japan. I tired to get help when my YF-19 literally fell in half and nada

You and me both, first thing I will be checking for is that along with the skulls on the tailfins to make sure they're printed straight, that was a thing with Yamato and their 1/48's - their 1/60 V2's as I recall.

dont buy from nin nim  i thought i got lucky but after adding it to cart then check out  they switched the item for a used hikaru and charged my paypal!!

 

now they taken £377 pounds for a used hikaru!!!

 

have reported them with paypal but now im frakking angry!!

I will never forget my Yamato '0S and its fingers crumbling apart into my hands.  Its one of the reasons why I stopped collecting these things...

I though NY would have some when I woke up but I see nothing! Is this the worst DX VF-1 preorder thus far? Sad to miss out on the one I really wanted, but glad I don't feel like a walking zombie before a long distance drive.

If my bank rejects it, I won't bother disputing it, I'll just get it elsewhere. Even if I have to pay more.

I feel that way about my '60 V2 Roy.  I have it parked beside my '60 YF 19 and 21; even if the DX Roy is perfect it's not going to take the place of the V2 just because of the issue of scale...
