Bandai DX Chogokin 1/48 VF-1

Off topic kind of, but some have said they think the gun is too big.  If you consider it is a 55mm ,almost twice the size of the A-10 cannon, then in gun pod form, it would be massive.  It is designed to smash through alien armor.  I also remember that episode where Hikaru finds the flower post Dolza bombardment and the gun pod is pretty beefy underneath the Vf-1S in the flight scene.

@IXTL started this thread. So he's the best person to change it. But he hasn't posted any since Sept 2018 based on his activity. Unless, someone should request some moderator to change it. Otherwise, it's only IXTL who can change it.

Yeah, I don’t know why that happened. Every other toy has it’s individual thread why not this one?

Didn’t notice that there were a locked DX VF-1A thread before. I guess, they just want the threads to be streamlined to one line(?). But then again, some random Q&A thread shows up even though we have the Newbie Q&A thread already. And those are not being deleted nor moved to the related threads.

But I also do prefer one thread for one line.

For a while they wanted smaller more specific threads and were retiring threads to mega topics but I'm guessing new forum software made bigger threads more palatable so better to keep as much of the conversation in one place.

Yeah I guess that’s true. The more I look at it, yeah, the threads are more mega threads for particular lines. A mod should be able to easily change this thread title though.

Or why not as generic as “Bandai DX Chogokin 1/48 VF-1 (J/A/S/D/R)”.

They have to get around to Max's DYRL VF-1S eventually. I'll wait for that version. And maybe it will be battle damaged. The TV version does look good though. But I have an old Yamato Max DYRL VF-1A that's fine.

No official time yet. But it safe to assume that it's 4pm JST. There's some PO back then that it happened around 7pm JST. Can't remember what item was that.
