Perxion Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Hi Guys! While we wait for Arcadia's Hargun, I share with you a project I'm working on. If anyone wants to propose colors for the Space gun (bulky gun) I'm open to suggestions. More photos on Instagram. thank you and enjoy! Quote
wm cheng Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Just got the re-issue Arcadia 1/24 Garland and absolutely LOVE IT!!! A bit expensive coming to Canada, ended up being $280cdn, plus $30 HLJ Quick Pack which really was UPS and was dinged $50 brokerage fee & taxes (GST/HST) so it ended up being $360cdn in total which is a bit much for something this small, but it seems very well made and solid. Congratulations & it is a very nice toy. I've not transformed it yet, but from reviews it is one of those rare toys where the judicious use of diecast doesn't seem to compromise sculpt, stability or strength of the joints. Perhaps move on to get the Proto-Garland as well... Quote

Looks like the ankle is fixed in terms of positioning with no extension options during transformation on the Moderoid kit. Images below from the manual. Feet transformation video starts at 19:04. MKT Posted May 4 Posted May 4 The ankles not sliding explains the leg proportions somewhat, and it's a middle compromise between both modes. Thinking back, I now realize why the HG YF-19 also have somewhat short legs in Battroid, with big feet in Fighter because it's the same compromise at the ankles. Quote

MKT Posted October 6 Posted October 6 After more than a year, some updates on the M23 reboot. Inexplicably, the updates always use very low-res pics at the start, and then gradually it'll be updated to high-res ones. MKT Posted October 21 Posted October 21 There's more new concept art posted over at https://aic-r.com/. But this 'Garland Dresser' totally has Motoslave vibes all over it. Quote
MKT Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I finally got this this in my hands, this Eve Tokimatsuri from AIC Heroine Collection: This item has been a personal grail to me for a long time, even though the figure itself is objectively nothing really spectacular and being more of a trading-type figure quality. Back a few years ago when I looked up what ready-made figures of Eve were available, it seemed to be only this Eve of M23 Part 2 and a much larger Part 3 version of her. Such a paucity, and I really wanted a Part 1 version of her to go with the Yui & Shogo figures that came with the Yamato Garland toys. Still, I thought I could fudge this P2 version of her with the P1 of others. In short, I had several windows open permanently for years on my PC waiting for it to come into stock. Very early on I thought I scored one from YAJ, but some glitch in the bidding proxy I was using made me thought I had won it, but didn't. Another year I saw it come into stock elsewhere but got cart-jacked. Other places had it for astronomical scalper prices, sat for some time, but eventually still moved at those insane pricing. Finally I snagged one, and pretty stoked when I got the shipping package. A bit disappointed that there was no toy box, but the upside is it came still sealed in its inner packaging even though it was advertised as used. Opening it, I was pretty pleased there wasn't any of the expected PVC weep & gumminess that characterized so many trading figures from that mid-2000s era, especially the softer material used for her phlegm dress. She came in at a larger sized than expected though. There's so little info I can find online about this figure; minus the base, she's at about 4.5" height, half inch more than I thought. So she's clearly larger than Yui & Shogo from Yamato's Garland. Still, in my head canon I can easily rationalize the size differences of her being a hologram, so strictly speaking doesn't have to be in the same scale. I guess this particular years' long journey is now over, and as many of us know all too well, the adrenaline high will pass much too soon. Thus, onwards to the next hunt... Quote
