wmkjr Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 In the works right now. Event sales garage kit. Dunno which event though I'm guessing Wonderfest. VF-3000 Crusader fighter VF-3000 Crusader battroid Quote
kajnrig Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) Is this the same kit that was being worked on in the Workshop thread? I need to get back in there, see what the latest updates are... EDIT: Whoops, never mind. I was thinking of the VF-5000 that Tage is working on. Still, the need to get back in there still stands. Edited October 13, 2017 by kajnrig Quote
David Hingtgen Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 I love the 3000, it's the bigger/better, more badass, "perfected" version of the VF-1. Quote

electric indigo Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 To me it looks more like a "russian" version of the VF-1. Quote

In addition to these, it's a proper two-seater and it has elbow rockets for badass punches! Love the 3000 so much. Looks like Experten has put up some test shot photos? https://twitter.com/expertenannex Quote
wmkjr Posted November 5, 2017 Author Posted November 5, 2017 Fighter to Gerwalk transformation: https://twitter.com/expertenannex/status/924822137306628098 To Battroid. https://twitter.com/expertenannex/status/925175904157831168 This was just a mechanical test unit made via ZORTRAX printer. They'll make another prototype with the Projet HD 3500. Quote
chyll2 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 They really did good on the transformation, kind of reminds me of the modern toy transformation. Implementation is real good and modern. If only bandai or arcadia can do a take on it. Quote
Firefox Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 The good old Macross design. With the current onslaught of VF-25, 171, 31 and everything in between, I almost forgot all these good old Macross design. Quote
DWN013 Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) Hot damn, look at this thing! https://twitter.com/expertenannex/status/942119433681563 Edited December 17, 2017 by DWN013 accidentallly gave link twice Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Please Arcadia, I want the VF-3000 as a transformable 1/60 toy. Quote
DWN013 Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Anyone ordered from experten before? If one has a japanese address, do you just contact them in Nihongo? Quote
sh9000 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 I’d buy one in 1/60 and HMR scale as well. Quote
Rock Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 (edited) Has anyone seen the 1/72 pop up recently? (Well... post WF2013) Doesn't seem Experten is doing much these days. Need some more M3 in my life. Edited September 25, 2021 by Rock Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 The VF-3000 and the SW-AXI Schneeblume are my favorite VF's. Have seen the VF-3000 pop up once in Yahoo auctions. Never seen the Schneeblume (IHP/Liquid Stone kit). Quote
Shawn Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Dug up an old saved YJ from 2019 for some additional pics. Quote
pengbuzz Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 I'm sorry, but that thing is fugly. Quote
Valkyrie Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 Damn, it looks like most of the parts in the kit aren't resin cast, but 3D printed on an FDM printer. I'm really not a fan of that method of production. FDM printed parts are a pain in the ass to sand to a smooth finish. Definitely not the kind of thing I'd like to see in a kit sold for $300. Quote

I only ever worked on such an item once, and it was a repair job for one that had come apart. A friend of mine had won an auction on FB for a Razor's Crest 3D printed ship from The Mandalorian (scaled to fit the 4" figures, I'm guessing from the size of it), and one of the engine nozzles "de-laminated" (for lack of a better term). Not only is it a pain to sand, but I would think that if not printed properly, it would run a pretty good chance of falling apart! Edited October 1, 2021 by pengbuzz Quote
Miclonedeathparade Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Has anyone got one and scanned the parts? I'd like to have a version of this kit in 1/100 scale. Quote
Valkyrie Posted January 26 Posted January 26 They're non-transformable, but on Cults3d, Minivalks has models of the VF-3000 in all 3 modes. That guy does incredible work. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/vf-3000-crusader https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/vf-3000-crusader-battroid-mode https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/vf-3000-crusader-gerwalk-mode Quote
