Chronocidal Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 Someone just linked me this. Clearly it's time to patch in the Super Sylph. Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 In preparation for the third and final DLC mission release, PA just released this in-universe magazine article on the Alicorn super submarine. https://ace7.acecombat.jp/clm/column04.php Translation by https://twitter.com/Task_Force23/status/1199200521535524864 https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nlc1F4VkbF55k7hn3Amkm4kL__ZybGE0hLdK_BdbZec/edit Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 https://twitter.com/Task_Force23/status/1225699657923227648 Some news from the recent Kotobuki x Ace Combat panel. An Ace Combat anime movie is an enticing possibility, especially if the CG is done by the Kotobuki staff. Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 A trailer for the 25th anniversary of the franchise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9MeI1n_PfQ&feature=emb_title Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 I've been lagging at this game, but this was a nice surprise; I was gonna buy all the dlc missions this afternoon when I saw that the PS Store had discounted the season pass by 50%. So for 12 bucks and some change I got all the skins, planes, and extra missions. It looks to be part of a big summer sale. Quote
Negotiator Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 i still can't get this game to go 21:9 ultra wide and there's such a big dead zone on the x-52 controller. frustrating. Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Free US aircraft skin update coming on the 20th, very nice. Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 CFA-44, XFA-27, and the ASF-X are coming to 7. Quote
kajnrig Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Yep, bought the game on PC over the weekend because of this news. Been having a blast bringing my PC save up to par with PS4. Cheat Engine and easy-peasy mods make it that much more fun, too. Someone on Nexus Mods released a mod for the TLS that changes its behavior to more closely mimic its portrayal in AC5 and AC0, rendering the Falken et al completely broken in campaign mode. There's even a mod by the same user to make all unlocked parts, including multiplayer-only ones, usable in campaign. No more Level 1 parts only. Whoever that modder is, I'd love to learn how they bypassed the encryption on the game files to edit them. Imagine modding the ADFX-01 Morgan's burst missile to finally have the range and power that it should have. Imagine then opening up Cheat Engine and giving yourself infinite ammo and zero reload time... Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 The good thing too with all these new skins for the base aircraft is that modders will have extra slots for their own modded skins. Imagine some of the cool schemes people will create for the CFA-44. Quote
treatment Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 (edited) so this is coming stateside, right? is it VR only? https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B08H8GKVNS/ Edited September 3, 2020 by treatment Quote
wm cheng Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I would love it if all the mission were VR instead of just the two. Is this Premium Edition all the missions in VR? Are there any more VR missions in the DLCs? Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Unfortunately, those three missions we got on launch will be the only official VR missions for 7. That said, the DLC missions for 7 are far more interesting than the main campaign, which was a good return to form, but clearly rushed due to the rather insane development hell that hit the Project Aces team, so if you haven't got the game yet, I would recommend picking up any edition that has the DLC missions come included. Quote
wm cheng Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I've got the game already - just wondering if the DLCs were worth it (I could care less about more aircraft skins) Quote
Stampeed Valkyrie Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I'll probably have to dust this off and give it a go again. I spent more time with the AC5 pre order bonus then I did with AC7 Quote

I spent more time with the AC5 pre order bonus then I did with AC7 I mean.. I feel like that's a zero-brainer. The -only- reason I considered pre-ordering was for that, but my PS2 copy still works. That being said, the inevitability of this edition is why I never bought AC7 at all. Though, I have to wonder how much other DLC won't be included in the "premium edition." Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 I don't see any more paid DLC being released for 7 after this. No doubt PA are already well into preproduction for AC8, and considering how small the studio is, they probably don't want to split the team's efforts between 8 and 7. Could be wrong though. Quote
kajnrig Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 If they are working on an AC8, I would love to get some expansion to the multiplayer. Deathmatch was fun while it lasted, but there was obvious room for expansion. A bunch of elements from AC Infinity are just begging to be ported over. Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Yeah, Infinity had some great modes like Naval TDM, the ring racing one, and of course the crazy co-op bossfights. Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Here's that Premium edition trailer. Quote
electric indigo Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Kotobukiya just laser-zapped my wallet again. Quote
Chronocidal Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 I'm guessing it's 1/144 again? Why can't people just make models big enough to see on a shelf? Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Aw dangit. I can't say no to the Morgan. Quote

kajnrig Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 To be fair, the ADFX-10 and ADF-11F are both huge chonky boys. They're pretty sizable even at 1/144. That said, I too would prefer some nice 1/72 kits from Hasegawa. Quote
electric indigo Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 I would be a little less annoyed if Koto wouldn't sell those at the price of 1/48 kits. Quote

Yeah, the prices are actually obnoxious, which makes the small size that much more painful. Comparatively, I can go pick up Bandai 1/144 Star Wars kits for single digit dollar amounts. Quote
altermodes Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 The 3 aircraft dlc is up on the PlayStation store (well in australia anyway) you can buy them separately or together (its cheaper to buy all three) Quote
Chronocidal Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Boy do I ever miss when you had to play the game to unlock new planes. Quote
electric indigo Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 X-49 Night Raven is going to be released in Kotobukiya's 1/144 Ace Combat kit line. Quote
kajnrig Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Yo, that's a nice surprise. Isn't the X-49 big, too? Like nearly bomber size? Or maybe it just feels big. Quote

Maybe the Infinity version comes with the story intact? If it's supposed to be that big a plane, and it's only that big compared to 1/144 aircraft... I'm guessing it's around 1/400-1/500. Quote
