But for some reason, I don't have any figure from that show. Even one of those Tachikomas. I was planning on getting the Figma before but I didn't. I don't know why. And last night after I posted the statue above, I'm analyzing why I don't have one? I think I'm more fixated on these Motoko's SIC appearance. I remember Yamato and CM's back then already released figures of these costumes way back then and with today's aesthetics they're already look dated. I liked Good Smile's take on SIC Motoko's face so I'm hoping that one day they will going to make the said costumes above. Edited July 2, 2021 by no3Ljm Quote

JetJockey Posted July 2, 2021 Author Posted July 2, 2021 (edited) I forgot to do the figure update for the Emontoys Motoko. But I just fixed the title. She's also available at Sideshow and BBTS. https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/ghost-in-the-shell-kusanagi-motoko-emontoys-908790 https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/168051 I prefer the fuller looking face on the prototype. But I like the hair on the pre-order version. I hope they have a strong piece of metal for her stand so she won't lean in the future. But she has a light function so I have to get her. 5 hours ago, no3Ljm said: Actually Y153,000 is more than US$250. That's US$1,375 with today's current exchange. I love GiTS:SAC. I was inclining towards the Figma since they already did some great looking Motoko SAC figure (Not the SAC_2045) and it's why I was hoping for them to make those other SAC look as well. *I meant SAC when I typed SIC on my previous post. Sanity is Optional Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 (edited) Significantly cheaper than the Naked Major statue on page 1: My Variable Action Hi-Spec Tachikoma (w/ Motoko Kusanagi) showed up today. Comparison shots vs the old Bandai Chogokin Tachikoma. New one has a lot more articulation available. It also comes with a Motoko figure, who can fit inside the spider abdomen, with it closed back up. (She was inside in all the above images) Motoko figure is pretty well articulated. Thigh and bicep twist; double-jointed knees and elbows, ball jointed hips, head, and mid-torso; and figma-style shoulders. Ankles are simple hinge. Almost all the Tachikoma joints are figma style as well, plus the top of the body can pivot around vs the legs. Also comes with cannon for the main gun, and alternate "fingers" for the legs, as well as fixed wheels. The current ones are figma-jointed curved figures arranged in a wheel shape. no3Ljm Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 Thanks for posting this, @Sanity is Optional. By the way, what do you think the scale based on the Motoko figure? Quote
glane21 Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 I’d like to see a Batou figure stuffed into that same cockpit, lol. He gets inside one in the show too, if I remember correctly. I think in real life most people would lose their crap stuffed into a confined space like that. But that figure is damn cool. Quote

The 4" is a very rough estimate, I don't feel like having to un-do and re-do the whole process of sticking her inside the tachikoma, it took a little while to get everything lined up. Quote
JetJockey Posted July 28, 2021 Author Posted July 28, 2021 I vaguely remember another Tachikoma that had a Motoko figure that fit in the back. Quote

There's that one from Good Smile Gokin Series back in 2008. It's a non-scale but the Tachikoma height is 21cm and Motoko at 9.5cm. There's also a 1/20 scale from MegaHouse from 2007. JB0 Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 That "hi-spec" tachikoma is a lot closer to the fuchikomas I wanted to see in the first place. I actually like it. Quote

Big s Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 I had an odd experience with one of those fuchikimas in the old video game. I accidentally stuck myself to a column and tried climbing up and the screen just violently rolled and I thought I was gonna lose my lunch Quote

That Shirow Hyperpage that closed down had images of that one. Found it on MFC. I can't believe Prime 1 Studio hyped Ghost in the Shell and never released anything. Quote
JetJockey Posted September 8, 2021 Author Posted September 8, 2021 Ghost in the Shell will be on IMAX starting September 17th. Select IMAX theaters. I would go if not for this virus situation that still isn't over. Quote
JetJockey Posted October 30, 2021 Author Posted October 30, 2021 Check at 56:30 if the video doesn't work with the time link. They announced a Ghost in the Shell license a long time ago. Way before 2045 was even announced. I gave up on a Prime 1 Motoko. And I thought she would be either the animated movie version or Stand Alone Complex back then. I can't believe they are going with 2045. Quote

JetJockey Posted November 15, 2021 Author Posted November 15, 2021 That pose is kind of like a game show host with her left hand. But reasonably priced compared to Prime 1 Studio's Motoko. $1,599 for the bonus version which seems to be the only version up right now. Lucky for me I only watched a few episodes of the new show. I wasn't crazy about the new design. Pretty but probably the youngest looking Motoko. Quote
JetJockey Posted November 24, 2021 Author Posted November 24, 2021 Anyone have these vintage Ghost in the Shell movie posters? They are supposedly from Hot Topic back in the day. And feature a holographic foil type printing. Someone on MFC needs additional information if possible. I don't remember seeing these myself back then. But I remember similar posters sold and given away for movie and video game pre-orders. Also according to someone on Reddit, there is supposed to be a version of the image below in this holographic foil but I haven't seen an image of that yet. Appreciate the help of anyone that remembers. Quote
Alphahorizon Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 The last poster. I have the holographic version. Got it way back when from an ex girlfriends sister who managed to get a few when she went to see it in theaters. I'll have to dig through my poster roles I have. But I know I have it. Along with some of the other prints on the first page. Quote

No need to post pictures of the ones on the first page. I have them myself. Unless you have a cool Ghost in the Shell setup or something. I still have to frame them for my setup. Quote
