valhary Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 is there any toy of the frx 99 that not be a model kit? Quote
charger69 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Guys what do you think about Alter SUPER SYLPH? Is it worth to buy? Quote
CAIN MKII Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Absolutly. The super sylph is so awesome A perfect model of this great plane. Highly recommended. Quote
electric indigo Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Some progress on my prototype Supersylph Quote
Valkyrie Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 In case anyone's interested, I found this on Yahoo Japan Auctions http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w29140408 It's the Premium Box that came with the Blu-Ray set, which comes with 2 art books and the 1/200 diecast Mave model. Pretty good price too - Y8500 opening bid or Y10,000 buy-it-now. Quote
electric indigo Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Do I get this right that he sells only the package without the disks? Also, there's no info on shipping costs. Quote
Valkyrie Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Do I get this right that he sells only the package without the disks? Also, there's no info on shipping costs. Yep. He's just selling the extras box, not the actual blu-ray or DVD box. As for shipping, I have no idea. Very nice work on the Super Sylph! Quote
Valkyrie Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Here's another Yahoo auction I thought was pretty cool. A Bandai EX Supersylph, painted up to look like it's a wood carving. Pretty well done, too! http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e84608573 Quote
electric indigo Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Bandai has updated their page for the Platz Sylpheed with a pic! Will we see the light before the end of the year? Quote
TSP Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Bandai has updated their page for the Platz Sylpheed with a pic! Will we see the light before the end of the year? Couldn't find anything besides Platz's announcement that the kits will be out November this year. And that both kits are プラモデル(Plamodel) On which Bandai site did you saw this? Quote
electric indigo Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 HLJ has updated their page for the Platz Sylpheed with a pic! Will we see the light before the end of the year? ahem. Quote
amsci99 Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Glad to see this thread around. Finally found my way back to this forum again after almost 6 months of unaccessibility due to the ISP's proxy servers. Anyway found this papercraft model of the FRX-00 Mave at this link. http://gunime.blogspot.com/2007/10/papercraft-fractal.html. Perhaps due to copyright issues, the paint scheme on the body is different. I am told you can get it fixed in PS, no idea how to do it though. Quote
amsci99 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I had the chance of photographing with my Casio Exlim most of the pages from the 'Blue and Purple' or 'Nawomotsu Kazenohon' Doujinshu before my friend auctioned it on eBay some in January this year. Of course, I would have loved to scan it but this would definitely cause creases on the spine. I wished I had one of these (http://booksnap.atiz.com/) but I don't so this is the best I can do. I have left out pages on Mave Chan and the storyboards. http://rapidshare.com/files/151157825/NAWO...U_KAZENOHON.rar Enjoy! Quote
electric indigo Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 I made major progress on painting the remodeled Yukikaze like it's pictured by Yamashita in the artbook mentioned above. Quote
Macross_Fanboy Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Anybody know if the novels were ever translated and released in the English-speaking world? If they were, where could I order mine?! Quote
electric indigo Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 No translation yet, but this page has links to short summaries of some of the short stories: http://www.absolutetrouble.com/yukikaze/extras.php Quote
cyberakuma13 Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) Hey guys, new Yukikaze fan here. So, I'm trying to decide what merch I want/need. As far as artbooks, I've found: FAF Technical Orders (comes with the japanese blu-rays, proabably too expensive) This "Manual":http://www.yesasia.com/us/1003729291-0-0-0-en/info.html (looks like it's for the novel and not the OVA maybe?) Blue and Purple (somewhat unofficial, not sold in stores) FAF at War book (comes with a DVD) and I think I heard something about an emotion or emotion20 book? (probably nothing, just related to the emotion anime line ...) Did I miss any? Finally, anybody know where I can score a Yellow Submarine 1/144 Flying Ramjet Mave? Far as I can tell, they're impossible to find. Edited October 14, 2008 by cyberakuma13 Quote
cyberakuma13 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I didn't mean to kill the thread, lol ... Quote
electric indigo Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Don't worry, it's usually very quiet around here. Quote

(probably nothing, just related to the emotion anime line ...) Dunno about that last one. Don't think I've ever heard of it. The Kaiseki Manual is indeed mostly centered on the novels. There's a bit of anime art, but it's nothing special. The other three are all great books, but Fairy Air Force At War is by far the cheapest and easiest to find. It's definitely the best bang for the buck. Quote
CAIN MKII Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) Geez, I'm craving for a new yukikaze model kit, like ALTER 's MAVE. It's been like for ever since I pre ordered it from HLJ. Anybody knows a release date? Edited February 19, 2009 by CAIN MKII Quote
electric indigo Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 HLJ has the 1/100 Alter Yukikaze on sale. 5880 Yen. http://www.hlj.com/product/ALT20801 Quote
electric indigo Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Guess what - the new Hobby Japan issue has the *I'm not Vaporware* 1/72 Platz Sylpheed on the "new releases" page. Quote
edwin3060 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) Oooh it's listed as a plastic model kit on hobbysearch: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10063747 I hope they do the whole series! Edited May 28, 2009 by edwin3060 Quote
electric indigo Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 "Plastic kit" is most likely a mistake by Hobbysearch, sice they also list the Mave resin kit as "plastic kit". I saw that they also have the F/A-27 still on their list http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10063748a2/20/2 Quote
Valkyrie Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Wow, that's quite surprising... especially that it says it's due out in May. But that's one more release date it's about to miss. It's currently 17 months late and counting... And yes, it's still listed as a multi-media (resin and metal) kit, and with its original price (farking expensive). Quote
electric indigo Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I think on HLJ the release date is continually updated to "next month" But the announcement in Hobby Japan and the fact that the kits finally appear on the Platz website might finally hint to something like an actual release. http://www.platz-hobby.com/products/1749.html http://www.platz-hobby.com/products/1804.html Don't forget to snatch the views of the Sylpheed in good resolution. Highside Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 (edited) The Sylphid is now available at Rainbowten. I would jump on this in a heartbeat, but my preorder at HLJ since 9/17/2007 gives me an $8-9 discount . Hopefully HLJ will have it in stock and ready to be shipped soon.
