1:48 GBP Armor parts.. where does this piece go??

Hey guys, apologies if this is in the wrong section.. mods feel free to move to appropriate section.

Ok so recently I got hold of a few 1:48 VF-1 Valkyries including a set of the GBP Armor parts. I fitted them up on one of the Valks but im left with a part which I can't seem to figure out where it goes. I don't have the instruction manual either and it isn't mentioned on Jenius review site..

I have circled the part in question. Any idea where it goes?

I just remembered this option part. Not present on the V.2. BTW.
