Yep, the same organization that will be handling voting. What could go wrong?:unknw:

Looks like it got scanned at delivery, but not until then.

I blame USPS less for that than I do the third party shipper that was using them as "last mile" service for the actual delivery.

I get "surprise" USPS shipments at least 50% of the time. I don't have a "last mile" carrier for my area. I'm only 3mi away from a big Post Office.

My company does a LOT of shipping. I've got 20yrs of dealing with all of them. They rank like this:

-UPS

-UPS

-UPS

-FedEx Express

-DHL

-FedEx Ground (different network than Express)

-

-

-

-USPS

And USPS has gotten worse since COVID. I think mail in voting is a horrible idea to start with. Having USPS handle it makes it even worse.

Cal doesn’t have a MiG-29 unfortunately. But HobbyMaster does make a pretty nice one.  Maybe a quick repaint...hmmmm.

Damn, the enabling is strong! I was completely ready to pass on this  but all the pics and quotes like, "A must have for all Macross Fans! :drinks:" are not helping.

I am a bit more intrigued by the carrier though. Also, did the tip of the nose break off or you removed it?

Aaaaarg, still nothing here. Looks so good.

Can someone who has one take a pic of it kinda near a 1/60 VF-0? I'm curious how off they look. The F-14 is a really big plane. It may not be too bad,.....fingers crossed.

I was hoping no one would notice, but this is MacrossWorld...what was I thinking!

Ok....so it was an itty bitty piece and didn't feel like installing it but you forced my hand!  Added the missiles too while I was at it.....

And now....a few more shots to break you into submission!  Oh and yes, the carrier deck is from TSM....bought it a while back, it is very nice, but I am hoping CW will come out with more cool stuff like it soon....

Anyone planning on customizing their MacZ pilot helmets?  Too tiny for my old eyes and shaky fingers...it was hard enough for me to insert the pilots into their seats!

Very nice! I think on my old CW, the point was a rubbery piece that came already attached. It’s one of the ONLY parts that doesn’t always fall off whenever I touch the damn thing. One of the main reasons I don’t want to buy any more of these things because I hate that everything always falls off and I don’t want to glue it. If this thing is still available after a while, I might impulse buy it but only if more pictures drive me insane without having it.

Great pictures thank you posting them.  I'm very tempted to buy one, although I've been doing my best to focus on Macross model kits.  I've known Noel for more than 20 years, and was happy to meet him in person at a MW Convention.  He helped me obtain many rare items, I consider him a friend and support him in his endeavors to bring us more Macross valkyries.  :hi:

Please follow the instructions to insert the metal pitot tube

Nice video and tips! Unfortunately, the words used, “snugly” and “tightly” don’t describe a single removable part on the one I have. Everything from the exhaust nozzles to the landing gear parts or covers, to the missile pylons, missiles, fuel tanks and anything else I forgot to mention, falls off either from gravity, a slight breath of air or touch. Other than most the time I spend picking parts off the floor if I ever attempt to touch the thing, it looks fantastic!

Which model exactly?

The earlier models do have some fitting issues but can be solved with some glue.

But surely engine nozzles are not loose by any means.

If you reference a 1/72 model similar, you will see that no other maker allows for such interchangeable parts.

Exactly because it will lead to parts "falling off" from a joint that is not permanent.

The fact that we are keeping to scale as much as we can does not allow for too much material at the joints.

My “MonaCat” is particularly bad that way....especially the the wing glove pylons. The magnetic attachment can’t come fast enough for me.

Mine is the Jolly Rogers Last Deployment model. I’ve heard about people using glue and I might resort to using some elmers school glue but I’d prefer not to have to do that. As mentioned, it does look fantastic when the parts are not falling off.

Yeah, I like these things but too frustrating for me. If they had magnetic parts, I think that would solve the problem and make them look and play much better.

LOL, yes. In general, 2020 has shown a good amount of insanity and idiocy coming out of the woodwork with all that's been going on.

How about using a bit of sticky tack to secure them instead of glue?

Good idea. Just the point of having to do anything is irritating though. If I do use sticky tack, is that also edible or have disease curing properties? Makes a big difference in what I decide to go with.
