No it doesn't automatically mean there will be a mirage decal or head.

It might mean however, that mirage would be the next release after hayate.

it's not in the third sortie, and we dont know if there will be a fourth. However I wouldn't be surprised that he releases a fourth sortie, somewhere when hasegawa  releases the last of the delta valks...

After the mild frustration that is the Bandai 1/72 kits, I openly welcome this! I bought 3 of the VF-19 Advanced kits... guess I'll get three of these too!

As someone who never had hasegawa kit, is this new 1/72 from them transformable like bandai's? Or is it just fighter mode only that also needs to be painted?

Just fighter mode. So far Hasegawa hasn't taken a swing at Variable VF's yet.

They have all three modes of the VF-1, though, in case that entices you at all. And I think the total cost wouldn't be too far off from the Bandai VF-1, either.

The CAD photos of this link look like Bandai rather than hasegawa. Why does it need hip hinges, unless the Hase kit can transform?

Judging by the pic from Hasegawa's twitter, only Delta 5 decals and a single pilot figure are included

I hoped Hasegawa would keep bundling Hayate and Mirage into the same box because it's best ship.

I hope they make the VF-31A version with Delta Wings. The swept forwards wings just don't look good on that frame. They looked nice on the YF-19 and the VF-9, but the YF-29 just overdid it. Same for the VF-31 - it just doesn't fi imho. Good they had the SV-262 in Macross Delta - that beautiful balanced plane helped me to force myself through Macross Delta.

Well... it seems it will be Delta 05 Only.  On a side note... Sv-262Hs with Lil Drakens on July 11th ?. Soooo........ QF-4000 Ghost series any time soon ?.

Hopefully, the newer Bandai Deculture kit's water-slide decals will almost seamlessly fall into place on this kit; will ditch the knighted reaper for real deal however.

Oh boy. I've picked up both Hasegawa SV-262s, but I'm not sure if I'll bite on this one even if my heart says yes. There's just still too much about the design I don't like... Hopefully they'll release a 31A, limited edition or otherwise.

Honestly I only want the Mirage 31, but getting Hayate might save a load of trouble getting a pilot figure for the VF-1EX pair I already have.

Interesting that they built it with a crystal-clear canopy, no tint at all.  

And yeah, I can paint very small things---but not eyebrows on a 1/72 Hayate.
