seti88 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) DAT ART! Is this gonna be the boxart for hase's vf-31J? Edited April 8, 2017 by seti88 Quote
Duymon Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 God I need to resist the urge to add more to the model backlog Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Judging purely by the boxart, are we getting decals/parts for both Hayate and Mirage? Quote

No it doesn't automatically mean there will be a mirage decal or head. It might mean however, that mirage would be the next release after hayate. Edited April 8, 2017 by seti88 Quote

However I wouldn't be surprised that he releases a fourth sortie, somewhere when hasegawa releases the last of the delta valks... Quote
505thAirborne Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 After the mild frustration that is the Bandai 1/72 kits, I openly welcome this! I bought 3 of the VF-19 Advanced kits... guess I'll get three of these too! Quote
ridgebacks Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 As someone who never had hasegawa kit, is this new 1/72 from them transformable like bandai's? Or is it just fighter mode only that also needs to be painted? Quote
505thAirborne Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Just fighter mode. So far Hasegawa hasn't taken a swing at Variable VF's yet. Quote
kajnrig Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 They have all three modes of the VF-1, though, in case that entices you at all. And I think the total cost wouldn't be too far off from the Bandai VF-1, either. Quote
NZEOD Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 damn it!! I just completed buying the 4 Bandai vf31 kits... now I'll have to junk them! Quote

ivorysniper Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Wonder if they'll bundle the VF-31J and -31C together, like they did with the VF-25F and -25S a couple of years ago. Quote

Why does it need hip hinges, unless the Hase kit can transform? Quote
chyll2 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10460298 it is from Hasegawa Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Judging by the pic from Hasegawa's twitter, only Delta 5 decals and a single pilot figure are included I hoped Hasegawa would keep bundling Hayate and Mirage into the same box because it's best ship. Quote
Urashiman Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I hope they make the VF-31A version with Delta Wings. The swept forwards wings just don't look good on that frame. They looked nice on the YF-19 and the VF-9, but the YF-29 just overdid it. Same for the VF-31 - it just doesn't fi imho. Good they had the SV-262 in Macross Delta - that beautiful balanced plane helped me to force myself through Macross Delta. Quote

Well... it seems it will be Delta 05 Only. On a side note... Sv-262Hs with Lil Drakens on July 11th ?. Soooo........ QF-4000 Ghost series any time soon ?. Edited April 12, 2017 by ivorysniper Quote
Wolf-1 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Hopefully, the newer Bandai Deculture kit's water-slide decals will almost seamlessly fall into place on this kit; will ditch the knighted reaper for real deal however. Quote
kajnrig Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Oh boy. I've picked up both Hasegawa SV-262s, but I'm not sure if I'll bite on this one even if my heart says yes. There's just still too much about the design I don't like... Hopefully they'll release a 31A, limited edition or otherwise. Quote
TMBounty_Hunter Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Honestly I only want the Mirage 31, but getting Hayate might save a load of trouble getting a pilot figure for the VF-1EX pair I already have. Quote
NZEOD Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 hmmm yeah... those damn ex pilots missing from the VF-1EXs... Quote

David Hingtgen Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Interesting that they built it with a crystal-clear canopy, no tint at all. And yeah, I can paint very small things---but not eyebrows on a 1/72 Hayate. Quote
