Valkyrie Driver Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 This is amazing. I want. I see a bit of VF-1 and VF-25 in the shape of the fighter, a little VF-25 and VF-19 in the transformation, and a whole lot of awesome throughout. If/When this goes into production... Quote

Knight26 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Loving this, can't wait until you start printing it out. What kind of printer will you be using? And, will you be putting the STLs up for the rest of us? Quote

Kelsain Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Are these going to be 1/60 scale? This one looks amazing, I can't wait to see the other styles! Quote
claude grant Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018  Gotta chime in for this...These designs are absolutely blood raw! Is there a possibility of seeing these done in a scale comparable to the Yamato 1/48ths? If your size is bigger than a 1/60 VF-1, I might buy into these after seeing the final product.  Well done sir, well done. Pulltoeject Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 That's a model builder's wet dream come true!! Leaves the Yamato 1/60 VF-1 kits in diapers. Beautiful work & bravissimo !!! Quote
anime52k8 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 wow, so um... how much is this beast going to set us back? Quote
Xigfrid Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 @IamChris How the hell did I miss this thread ? That's truly an amazing/refreshing project. I don't know if it's still live but I wish it is ! Quote
claude grant Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Whoa, wait a minute IamChris...did I just read "60 cm/23.622 in." in fighter mode? That's freaking waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy longer than a 1/48 VF-1 in fighter by almost twice the margin!! OK you gotta make this happen now; cool innovative designs, unbelievable articulation, hella weapons options, and...wait for it...BIGGER than a Yamato 1/48 in fighter?... If you can get top quality & decent pricing as part of the formula, then consider me $OLD!! Quote

Sildani Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Pretty sure he means fighter mode is 60cm long. This is a transforming GI Joe Skystriker! Don't want to contemplate the cost. Quote
charger69 Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 This.is.amazing. Please contact with third party Chinese manufacturers and make this happen! Quote

anime52k8 Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 57 minutes ago, IamChris said: sorry anime52k8 that i have not stated clearly that the fighter mode length is 60cm. What scale is this supposed to be in? 60cm is absolutely massive even at 1/48 scale. Â Quote yes, i have contacted third party china and taiwan manufacturers. estimate cost between 450usd-600usd. T_T can get more pre-orders, price able to adjust lower(factory).... ouch. I think the best thing to do if you want to actually get this manufactured and sold would be to simplify the design a bit. if you worked on simplifying some of the mechanisms and ditch some of the extravagant features you could seriously cut the parts count which will drive down the manufacturing costs a lot. dialNforNinja Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 (edited) Could you render a video of this sexy beast spinning around in each mode and transforming? I'd love to see some of those mechanisms in action, but three digits before the decimal point is basically "nope forever" for me as far as being able to buy one is concerned. Graham Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Very Nice. Those are micro-missile launchers on the dorsal surface of the fighter? Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 this is so beyond....beyond awesome.  so macross but so original. i hope this will eventually be released as a toy or a kit. very very cool and i'm sad i didn' tsee this thread until today haha. Quote
Xigfrid Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 We can’t let this thread die! @IamChris are you still on this project or can you make more 3D renders? I mean that the official release have nothing exiting to me, Arcadia takes their sweet time (3 years now?) to get a V2 mold out, Bandai is releasing the same thing again and again in different paint since 2-3 years. Third parties makes 1:72 diecast VF-1S, or Yamato copies... At least this project is something freshening for Macross fans Quote
