no3Ljm Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 "If you are interested in a story with a happy ending, that story is streaming elsewhere. This story has no happy ending, no happy beginning, and very few happy things in the middle." Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans -- Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and premieres January 13, 2017 only on Netflix. A Netflix Original Series. Quote
505thAirborne Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 So far Netflix has put out some really good series and with NPH in the lead, I'll give it a try! Quote
no3Ljm Posted December 7, 2016 Author Posted December 7, 2016 So far Netflix has put out some really good series and with NPH in the lead, I'll give it a try! And NPH is the reason why I watched The Smurfs movies. Quote
505thAirborne Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Watching this right now. NPH is a delight. It's like all things Tim Burton & The Addams Family mixed together! Quote
Big s Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 So far the first episode is great. We will be watching more this weekend. It's another win for Netflix and the creativity is just so charming. NPH is amazing and one of the best villains in recent years. I also love Patric Warburton as the narrator. Quote
Ghadrack Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I didn't read the books, I was enticed by a review on NPR over the weekend, I ended up watching the first six episodes Sunday. So far I enjoy it very much, I'll probably go ahead and read the books as well. Patrick Warburton's deadpan delivery as the narrator amuses me greatly. Quote
