NZEOD Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Another company is about to release a 1/72 carrier deck base that we can use to display models on. http://www.tsm-wing.com/product-detail.php?pd=65 Quote
David Hingtgen Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 You could go with 1:48--- http://www.flyingmule.com/products/HM-HD2004 A 1/48 F-14 is a good bit larger than a DX -25. Quote
seti88 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Am interested in 1/144 scale decks that don't require luck or $ to hunt down...those are a lil rare... Quote
NZEOD Posted October 16, 2016 Author Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) I'll keep my eye out for you on the 1/44 decks. Finished up that Dragon deck I bought last week. Had to sand off all the 80s style raised panel lines, but its come up good since. If you ever need it, Model Master Engine Grey is the modern carrier deck colour of choice on the shipbuilders forums. For a DX, the 1/72s could work better than the 1/48 one. Try a cheap Italeri 1/72 deck as a tester. Considering getting the 1/200 deck just to see how it could look with the GiMIX VFs Edited October 16, 2016 by NZEOD Quote
seti88 Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Thanks for the lookout, am just surprised tomytec themselves aren't releasing any decks, its a no brainer esp since they have the 31's and 1's displayed on them!! Quote
Xigfrid Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 I have been looking for this since 1 year. It was supposed to be released for March 2016 under the German HERPA/TSM brand... (link) It looks like another vaporware release! Quote
VF-1A Grunt Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 That looks pretty good! It definitely looks more contemporary than some previous examples I've seen and should work well with VF-0s and VF-1s, at least. It would be cool to have a version with the ground crew area at the flight deck as depicted in SDFM, but then we need the space-suited ground grew figures as well! Quote
no3Ljm Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 This would be nice if you have a glass-top coffee table. Would love to have a set or two for my 1/60 and DX Valks. Quote

NZEOD Posted October 17, 2016 Author Posted October 17, 2016 My 1/144 Dragon deck, not yet, finished, weathered and populated yet. I have 4 of the Italeri 1/72 decks as well with a servo that raises the JBD. One of the ES-11Bs will be displayed on this hooked to the cat with wings still raised. Quote
