kajnrig Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 http://hlj.com/product/KZC10002 http://www.collectiondx.com/news_item/81016/kitz_concept_super_deformed_robotech_vf1s_roy_fokker Saw the HLJ link on my Facebook page, and brief researching turned up the CollectionDX link. It's branded as a Robotech toy, but all the same. I dunno if it already has a dedicated topic, but in case it doesn't, I figured I'd share for those who are interested. MSRP of 8800 JPY.
Loop Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Yeah, I refuse to give any money to harmony gold.
jvmacross Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 I may decide to get one during HLJ's 2017 Black Friday Sale.....
no3Ljm Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41920&p=1302644
kajnrig Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 Yeah, I noticed that yesterday as well. No need for this thread, then. Mods, feel free to delete/close.
jaylive Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 at a panel at new york comic con today, kevin mckeever from harmony gold said that kitz concept is developing a 1/55 line of mecha, not just the sd stuff. he said the monster will be the first in the line. it looks huge!
jaylive Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 he also said they're working on transforable sdf1, 2, and 3 but he didnt say what scale.

edstuff Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Thats nuts. Do the proportions of the cannons seem just a bit off to anyone else or is it just me
505thAirborne Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Given it's HG, I'll believe it when I see it.
jaylive Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) those vfs in the picture are the toynami 1/55s to really give an idea how big this thing is gonna be. lol. he hinted that kitz concept will be taking the lead for american robotech toys. he didn't really talk about toynami much at all for future plans. Edited October 10, 2016 by jaylive
derex3592 Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 It will be on the boat with the vinyl Glaug......
Mazinger Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I think we need fact checkers for anything coming out from HG! Sorry, couldn't resist, this being the night of the second US presidential debate.
Bolt Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Quite massive indeed. Did they give any indication of a ball park price for such a thing?
jaylive Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 no price. its just in development now. unfortunately.
jaylive Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 fast packs and led light up missle and thrust effects are coming this year for the vfs
F360 Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 A 1/55 monster would be too big for me . The hi-metal r is big enough as it is . But I'm always up for more company making macross toys . Sdf1 2 and 3 sounds nice .
jenius Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I don't think it's actually in development, probably just something they did as a crazy "what if?" As I recall, they had some other cool concepts that didn't seem like they were ever going to happen. Robotech is just a zombie, it's not getting obscure mecha merchandise.
Lorindor Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 The Monster has been known for a while, but it being part of a whole new line is new... and interesting. Robotech merchandise is known to become vaporware, but with another company in charge, I'm mildly optimistic.
wmkjr Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Hopefully if that monster's made it won't need those braces in the front and rear.
505thAirborne Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Hopefully if that monster's made it won't need those braces in the front and rear. I noticed those braces earlier... not a good selling feature!
Lorindor Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Do the proportions of the cannons seem just a bit off to anyone else or is it just me Hopefully if that monster's made it won't need those braces in the front and rear. It's definitely not perfect, but it's also still just a prototype.
UN Spacy Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Who f'n cares? What idiot would buy that Monster when you've already got a perfectly fine Hi-Metal R one? ...and Kevin McKeever is blowing smoke out of his arse. Sorry jaylive but ya sound like a bit of a moron.

Sorry jaylive but ya sound like a bit of a moron. no reason to be a c.u.n.t about it. i am just reporting what was said. if yoi dont like it go somewhere else. Edited October 10, 2016 by jaylive
Lorindor Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 What idiot would buy that Monster when you've already got a perfectly fine Hi-Metal R one? Well, it's significantly larger and would likely make a more impressive display piece, as well as match scale with the Yamato/Arcadia/Bandai DX Chogokin Valks. I'm in the camp that's been largely underwhelmed by the HMR line - partially because they are so small. Also, your language is totally uncalled for.
azrael Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Who f'n cares? What idiot would buy that Monster when you've already got a perfectly fine Hi-Metal R one? People will buy what they want to buy. It not your money they're spending so why do you "f'n care".
AIRMAG Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Who f'n cares? What idiot would buy that Monster when you've already got a perfectly fine Hi-Metal R one? ...and Kevin McKeever is blowing smoke out of his arse. Sorry jaylive but ya sound like a bit of a moron. Why so angry?
easnoddy Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 The barrels are too wide and they don't look long enough.
bbrain Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I would want all the other mechs before another Monster, would look great with my 1/60's and old TT
edstuff Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Forget the toynamis. I think it would look great next to chunkies
TangledThorns Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Heh, I still have a Revell Robotech VF-1A armored fighter in its original unwrapped box. Tried selling it at a yard sale last month but no interested buyers
no3Ljm Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Curious as to why this thread were moved to the Anime or Science Fiction section from the Toys section? When the other related topic is still in the Toys section? http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41920&p=1302644 Would it be better to merge this one to that topic instead? Just asking. Thanks.
