azrael Posted August 26, 2016 Author Posted August 26, 2016 Kawamori's only providing supervision on this one, so it wouldn't be completely out of the question...Kawamori is listed as Delta's "Chief Director". Delta's director is Kenji Yasuda. Basically, I think this frees Kawamori from being in charge of small day-to-day stuff. It's Kawamori's vision and he can step in or provide guidance every now and then, but most of the stuff is left up to the people below him.To me, I see Kawamori as the equivalent of "Executive Producer" or "Showrunner". Which is no different than the role he had on Macross Frontier, where he was also credited as "chief director" (総監督), while Yasuhito Kikuchi got the "director" (監督) credit. Ever since Macross Plus, when he collaborated with Shinichiro Watanabe, Kawamori has almost always had a co-director under him who supervises the staffers more directly, while he focuses on the big-picture stuff. locidm Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I have a feeling that these few episodes is deliberately slow in pace to show that it took a long time for Freyja and Hayate to snap out of their funk, and for kumo kumo to recover. hopefully when it picks up again it will be epic. Quote
Kelsain Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Still haven't watched this one. I think I'm waiting to see if anything exciting happens in 22... Quote
Aries Turner Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Without solid proof, I think both Macross F and Delta series are for gathering funds for the respective movies, cutting out all the ideas that failed in the series. Quote
azrael Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 No news on episode 22? Unless someone has a magazine scan. Maybe something happens and they don't want it spoiled. Quote
Seto Kaiba Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 No news on episode 22? Maybe it's just going to be a 22 minute public apology for the second half of the show being garbage? Quote
