Kong:Skull Island

Just saw this on demand and I am VERY happy to have not seen it at the theater.  Other than John C Reilly's character I was hoping all the rest would die.  The opening helicopter battle scene with Kong was garbage, I get that Hollywood writers try to amp up the drama by having the characters do stupid things but there is a limit before it is unbelievable - and sadly that set the tone for the rest of the film.  It could also be that I'm getting really tired of the Samuel L Jackson tough nutty guy persona he has been stuck with in a lot of movies lately, we know the guy can do much better.
