I would also note that she's usually wearing some kinda darkish red shirt under the jacket.

I'm really not sure how the jacket works since there's also the gray more skin tight part at the bottom usually too. IS that like a part of the jacket or some thing worn under it.

I like how this episode's topic of conversation is about what Mirage wears under her flight jacket.

This community is awesome like that. Last episode we went on for pages debating whether Johnson and Chaos were competent and whether Valan was actually redeemable or not. This week, does Mirage wear anything but a sports bra under the jacket?

Stay classy MacrossWorld, lol.

To be fair, they're throwing a whole bunch of clothes in order to get where they're going. Maybe she had on more than was shown.

It goes straight from jacket to tube top and I don't think she's unzipping multiple layers at the same time.

What initially confused me was her legs, but then I remembered that Mirage actually wears shorts and then has a fashionable amount of zettai ryouiki before her leggings.

One more thing: Her embarrassed face here is adorable.

And yes, this topic is a bit juvenile, and you can blame me for some of that. But the entire scenario was played off as super, super goofy, topped off by the Elysion doing... what it did.

Is it just me or do the subs come a little later when there's less Valk action? <_<

Most likely coincidence, as it's been announced ahead of time that the subs would be late two of the three times we've had to wait for them.

Psssssh. No, you can blame ME for some of that. At least put the blame on the right person. ^_^

Waiting for subs. Just watched the new opening. Did not like it.

In general, singing quality was generally going up. But this one is sung outright worse than the previous version, in my opinion.

Animation is very clearly Hayate/Freyja. The triangle is pretty much gone as far as the opening is concern. Mirage is just a background character. This might be Kawamori sticking a middle finger to the execs who want a triangle?

Too me it seems more like a quick recap on the last episode before they switch it up.

Ummm why are you still using spoiler tags? It's well past the 24 hours.

Yeah, the opening was mixed with the recap. We'll see what they come up with next week(?).

Considering the number of people waiting for subs, people often self-spoiler-tag until subs are out. I personally appreciate it, so I can see the "subs are out!" post without having the whole ep spoiled.

Dude, we rely on unpaid volunteer time to get unlicensed and unofficial work done. They`re under no obligation to do something they feel like doing to anyone`s timetable but their own, and we are in no position to question that. No other sub group has stepped up to do Delta, and we have no choice but to be patient for our mecha and musical porn.

And we can re-watch previous episodes. :) We`ll get our fix, just without the usual near-instant gratification factor.

What was the typical turnaround for Frontier? A bit under a week? One-two days, sometimes same-day, is "miraculous" to me.

And waited a whole lot longer than that for Zero!

Back in the heyday of fansubbing GG and other speed-subbers used to turn around an episode in a matter of hours (Hell they did it a couple times with Delta)

But the fan subbing community has kinda gone away since it's just not that necessary any more with streaming like Crunchyroll (and CR-ripper HorribleSubs).

Yeah, I think the rule should be spoiler tags until 24 hours after the subs are out.

Agreed.

Agreed. Real fansubbers have almost disappeared since streaming services have a vast majority of the series available for very little money.

That a popular series like Delta goes unlicensed and is thus interesting to the few fansubbers left is pretty unique.

I used to be a fansubber back in its heyday in the early 2000s until i burned out in the mid 2000s.. It's an incredibly time consuming and stressful especially when people are rudely demanding you release an episode. For currently running series we'd try to have it out before the next episode aired. I'm amazed that we get Delta subs usually the same day as the raw comes out. But i can be patient if they are late. It's a lot of work for no pay and to give up your free time. Considering the current climate of fansubbing (virtually gone like Marzan said) we are lucky to be getting any subs. Back in the day there would be 3-5 groups doing a series like Delta. Now we basically have one (i believe deadfish just re-encodes gg's sub to mp4 instead of mkv).

Doki is also subbing it, albeit at a far slower rate (they are only up to episode 6), though the upside to it is they are much higher quality translations and typesetting, not that such matters to everyone. I am perfectly happy for GG's speed subbing.

But everything you are saying it totally true in any case. Plus with this series we are getting the extreme fortune to have the series get officially subbed in English for the blu-ray release.

I can understand about 85% of the raw which is pretty much good enough to understand each ep.

I would hate to have to transcribe each episode, translate and edit the video with perfect timing. It's almost as much as a full-time job.

Unless people are paying for these FANsubs they really can't complain about delays.

You say that as if it ISN'T a full-time job. :p
